Lowe’s Protection Plans
Avoid like an *TD. This warranty is worthless. Have wasted so much time trying to get a dishwasher fixed that I will never do business with Lowes every again. This is a joke of a company and warranty. If I could leave a zero star review I would, it is that bad.

Lowe’s Protection Plans
Lowe\'s has outsourced most if not all of their appliance extended warranty plans to Assurant. I think that it\'s located in Pakistan. It doesn\'t pay claims and there\'s not much you can do about it here other than write negative reviews. They throw every possible obstacle in your way, make you jump through numerous hoops and then deny your claim anyhow. If you ask to speak to a supervisor, they purposely drop your call while you're waiting. Check out the reviews for Assurant. Do not waste your money on this total scam! My rating is minus 5 stars.

Downstairs unit was making strange sound when would shut off and house wasn’t cooling. I have two units and was told they would check both. The company that was sent only checked one and not the one I said was making the noise. So they charged me for a little Freon never checking the unit they should have. I called AHS back and the agent could hardly be understood and argued with me about what I had put in for the service call. There was no question of what I said was wrong and the ac company didn’t fix the issue. So they had to come back out and yes the problem was the main unit that was making the noise. He was very knowledgeable and there happened to be another AC person next door that concurred that it was the compressor. AC wizard was always nice on the phone the first tech just didn’t check the main unit and should have. The second guy think his name was Greg was great. And they had a quick turn around of getting the part it will be fixed Thursday. Saddened with AHS questioning what my initial issue was and I was out more cash because the small unit upstairs had to run constantly making my electric bill double by not fixing it the first time.

They had to add 2lb of Freon to my AC which cost $180 plus service fee of $75. Obviously this is not a permanent fix. AHS should fix the leak first and then add Freon. I don’t understand why AHS does not want to fix this permanently.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I reported a broken microwave/vent over 3 months back - Service request #53937287. A technician came and fixed it. It broke soon thereafter. I reported it again. I have been waiting for over 2 months. It still hasn\'t been repaired or replaced. I have called them over 10 times about it. They have no clue about the previous 9 calls. It's like starting all over again each time. I am so upset that I am thinking of cancelling my contract with American Home Shield.

The technician, ******, from Hopwood Electric came on time and was very efficient. He took the time to explain what the issues had been with the outlet and corrected the problem.

We We had a tech come over to change the locks on our doors and our new home. They arrived 48 hours after our initial phone call. The technician was extremely courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and fast. The e ase of setup and the quality of the work and customer service was well worth the claim fee.

The contractor arrived on time, make a quick assessment but also took the time to look at all the other parts to make sure everything on the dryer was working correctly. He had to order a part but came back when he said he would, was thorough & quick!

I called and was able to get an appointment the next morning. The tech that came out for the repair was on time and called to let me know he was on his way. The repair was done quickly and the problem was solved.

I was no longer getting hot water and realized my pilot light had gone out on my water heater. We could not get it up and working so I called AHS and they had it assigned the very next day. The repair person came prepared with spare parts in the truck. He was able to analyze and find the problem and repair. He definitely specialized in water heaters so I was relieved about that.

AHS now allows you to choose among a short list of contractors. I hope this is a long-term feature. It\'s great. It helps weed out the deadbeat contractors of which there are a lot.

I have not had any issues with AHS Warranty in 10 years with one to two service calls per year on average. In general, the contractors are knowledgeable and professional. I once got an HVAC guy who was not very good and could not fix the problem but it was a complex problem. Service is usually prompt - 1-2 days - depending on the contractor where your ticket gets routed. I have had two appliances replaced by AHS over the years without any fuss (I took the cash-out option in both cases and bought upgraded models and AHS reimbursement was reasonable). Recently they started allowing you to choose your service company when you open a request and that lets you research the company before choosing. They could improve the approval process for replacement which takes 4-5 days after the service visit.

Our Washing Machine was making a SIGNIFICANT Noise. Called AHS. Sent repairman. Repairman told US the ball bearings were shot and it would to 3 to 5 days to get the parts and he\'d be back to repair. Then after the 5 days I called and rep reported only noisy, but working. Asked for a 2nd repairman\'s opinion. He came out found the rinse spin wasn\'t working, tok 1 hr to start load. 2nd guy ordered part, and repaired 4 total weeks after our call to AHS, and now it's making a noise again. Really disappointing! Disgrunteled customer ... Mark York

Service team was conducting Spring inspection/maintance when the discovered a problem with one of the AC components, service called AHS and requested approval to repair. AHS called me within minutes to verify they were working on my covered unit. AHS approved repair and the Service Team completed the repair on the original service call. Great corporation between AHS and Service provider which resulted in reduced strain on the Customer.

Wow! How do I describe my contract with American Home shield? Please let me count the ways !! I have been a customer with them since 1999 and I am still loving it. The office staff is very professional and will place your service call to the provider within minutes and most will call you the same day or you could call them. They work 24/7 daily. The technicians are the best in the business and most of mine are my "go to" company if I need their service. They are transparent and educational during their service and issues are dealt with right away. AHS do have a 'second opinion' request if not satisfied with your diagnosis within 7 days of the diagnosis. I am very satisfied with AHS and recommended highly for a home warranty service for your property. I have grown with this company and truly satisfied.

Useless company. I don\'t understand how they have 4.5 rating, I\'m sure its manipulated. They just cancelled my warranty without any intimation. I called for a service call and learned that it have cancelled and refused to renew it. Absolutely crap company. Please stay away from company, don\'t go by the number of stars and rating...it\'s all manipulated. Also useless contractors, most shady ones...

We originally placed a service request on 12/7 for our broken hot water heater. The part came in, but when the technician called on 12/27 to schedule a time to put the part in, they realized the wrong water heater had been ordered by AHS. They informed AHS of the incorrect equipment on 12/27. We have spent all day today (1/2) trying to find out when we are going to get the hot water heater in, we were told it had just been ordered today. Well, that is what we were told when we reached out to AHS on twitter. When we finally got through to a phone representative (after being hung up on 3 times when we were put on eternal hold). We were told a part had not been ordered, they didn't know when it would be and had no idea when we would get our hot water heater replaced. It is January, cold, and we have a family that has no hot water. American Home Shield has no concern with providing the service that we have been paying for almost 4 years now. We have now been told (on 1/3) that it is going to be a minimum of a week to get the hot water heater, assuming AHS ever actually approves the order of the hot water heater that the plumbing company sent to them two days ago.
