Company was excellent, found issue, gave me time of replacement and repaired on time! Both repair techs were courteous and informative. Very professional company! I was grateful at the time it took to complete repairs.

Lowe’s Protection Plans
I would not recommend Lowe\'s protection plan service any longer or Lowes appliance without a protection plan. My husband and I have been an avid purchaser of major appliances from lowe\'s mostly because of the protection plans they have and the service we received in the past for repair services. We have had to call 7 times for our fridge to be fixed and get the repair done through out Lowe's protection plan in the last 4 years without an out of pocket expense. We even purchased a 5 year plan. Since I have called 7 times I am very used to dealing with kind, informative, and responsive team members. However, Lowes has changed companies who they have the protection plan service. I know that they have changed companies because now I had to wait 4 HOURS to talk to someone, they were going by a horrible new script and had horrible non english accent which was hard to understand. In the past I have always talked to someone within 30 minutes, talked to a person with an American English accent. I get confirmations for the repair service request previous with the name Lowe's Service Advantage. Today, I got a confirmation service repair email ticket from a company called Assurant. This new company asked me very different questions that I was used to even questioned my marriage and who I was calling for and what appliance. In the past I usually just give my protection plan #, item # and Model #. Then one last item.... The Lowes protection plan Advantage employees had to give me this long drawn out disclaimer verbally before they would schedule my repair. This didn't happen with this new company. The new company also wasn't' going to give me a confirmation/ ticket # for my request and I had to chase after this #. I'm used to automatically getting the confirmation with the previously better company. I talked with my husband and we will not be purchasing appliances from Lowes because we will not have an appliance without a good service protection plan. I will not deal with waiting 4 hours and the headache it was. I'm very scared if we will even get the service repair we requested and scared I'm going to have to call all over again and wait 4 hours. Seriously upset. Previous to our fridge protection plan we have had for 6 years protection plans on washer and dryer. I can't image experiencing this on all my appliances in the future. I dread it.

Lowe’s Protection Plans
I bought a refrigerator along with a protection plan from Lowe\'s in July 2021. I was originally told that it would take 4 months to get the refrigerator, but I was willing to wait. However, after 4 months, I was told that it would take even longer. Every time that the promised date would come up, I would be told that there was a further delay. I finally gave up and got a refund for the refrigerator purchase on April 26, 2022. However, I was told that the only way I could get a refund for the protection plan purchase would be to call 1-888-775-6937. I have tried and tried to contact this number but there is always an extremely long wait time to speak to a live agent and I have always had to give up after at least 45 minutes. One of the messages says that to cancel your protection plan, you can send an email to LOWES.RESOLUTION@ASSURANT.COM. Along with the phone calls, I sent an email explaining my problem to that address on 5/1/2022, but have gotten no response or even acknowledgment. I will NEVER EVER buy another Lowes Protection Plan.

I submitted my service request online one day and within the hour, a repair company called me to schedule an appointment. The very next day my garage door opener was repaired! I am beyond satisfied!

We have been without air conditioning in Texas heat for 10 days. AMS has yet to order the compressor, which they admit they have approved for purchase. We call every single day only to be told they are working on it. They will not give a timeframe or date when we can expect to have our unit fixed. I was just on hold with them for 90 minutes. When I log into my account it says the part was ordered, but they tell me it wasn’t. This is UNACCEPTABLE and the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE organization I have ever dealt with. There should be a 0 rating, they don’t deserve even 1 star.

I had issues with my kitchen and bathroom outlets and only the kitchen outlets were replaced. The contractor claimed that the order sheet did not specify both rooms needing repairs even though there is no place on the request form to specify this kind of information.

Terrible. Zero stars if I could. Refused to fix something clearly in contract. Ignored repeated requests and then give you the run around having to explain over and over again to different people. They sent out for repairs on the item multiple times because it was covered but when the repair contractor could no longer piece it together they refused to replace. Not worth a dime.

AHS was quick with contacting repair man. They where out at the house second day. I love having AHS because it’s a piece of mind. If something goes out, pay service fee for them to come out. Everything after repair mans visit is on AHS.

We’ve had American home Shield for three years. In that time we have had approximately five repairs. The biggest concern I have is timeliness. We are in central Texas and last summer we went without an air conditioner for two weeks. Now, due to excessive wait times and the technician ordering the wrong parts, we are at one month and counting waiting for refrigerator repair. Our water softener was replaced and I was told by an Independent plumber that replacement was high-quality so I’m happy with that. Our pool pump has been replaced twice. The first one they replaced lasted less than a year. We are on the second one and it is still working properly after a year and a half.

I have had these guys since I bought the house in 2010. Up until last year things have worked well. I had an A/c problem and I was dissatisfied with the service I received and the repair cost over $1000 (out of my pocket). I am currently trying to get a Kenmore refrig and microwave repaired. I have been on the phone with the representatives on numerous occasions and have been passed around, disconnected, and ignored. The microwave issue started in late May. (today is 6/22) After two service men assessed the issue AHS agreed to replace the microwave. I responded to the email last week concerning the acceptability of the unit for replacement. I agreed and the decision was decided. I received a notice from AHS saying that I had three options for a time for the service. I chose today and AHS set up the time (12-2) today and I have been waiting for the call. The guy gets here at about 1:00 and asks where the microwave is. I tell him that the communications with AHS did not mention anything about the unit itself. He stated that they did not have a unit and that AHS should have shipped the unit to me. They did not. Now I am 2 more weeks into this issue because the company failed to provide any communication. They set the whole thing up and it was a fiasco. Once this issue is resolved I will be a permanent former customer. I called customer service and they refused to connect me to a supervisor and when I persisted in the request they dropped me. I attempted to contact corporate office in Memphis and got the same "welcome". I cannot convey to you my level of frustration. Screw me once, shame on me, there will not be a second time. I have worked for Fortune 500 service companies and it was pounded into our minds that you did what you can for the customer (within reason) but I am assuming that in the last 25 years, that philosophy has evaporated. It is a sad state of affairs!

I have never had such a ridiculous and awful experience. My AC broke and the employee in charge of dispatching my claim did not include notes indicating my willingness to pay overages to cover the loss. Because of this I had to go through three more operators until I finally asked to speak to a manager in order to file a bad faith insurance claim. At this time no one was able to even get a hold of the company AHS contracted with to indicate that they needed to go out to the home ASAP and repair the AC...I went 8 days without AC and would have had to wait another 4 days for the contracted company to get to my house in over 90 degree weather/over 100 in the house (with two small children living there) and AHS claims there guideline for emergencies has to be over 105 degrees. This home warranty company sucks. I had to call another AC vendor and pay out of pocket to get my AC fixed before I finally got AHS to pay me their "negotiated whole sale cost of repair" which was 1800 less than what I had to pay to not suffocate! Do not use this company!!! They also have written in their policies that they do not cover any loss caused by the actual loss of the AC...meaning hotel reimbursement, labor, and all of the fluid needed to be put into the AC....

When you pay to have a warranty with the company you are of course taxed. Then you are set up with you may think is a deductible considering it’s a “warranty contract” but it is considered a “service” fee. Mine was $125. It’s even called a deductible here on this survey. I “thought” that was all I had to pay when a repairman has to come and repair. It’s not. That’s taxed also an extra $10.31, so you are actually paying a total of $135.31. It just struck me as a bit of a bait and switch kind of thing.

I requested repair from my pool equipment In late December , but still on March 22nd the problem has not been solved. Despite I called both the contractor and American Home Shield several times, the only response I got was that I need to keep waiting. Beware of AHS, the contractors they used are not good as they promised, and if anything goes wrong , AHS does not stand on your side.

I put my order through the AHS mobile app, and was immediately contacted by the contracting service provider. I was able to schedule right away, and the locksmith that was sent from Mr. Rekey was timely, polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He performed the work quickly, and even went above and beyond what was required by the work order! Great job
