We had two service calls which both ended in denied claims. These were normal contract coverage's. In the 1st case, we had a leak in our hot water line. The appraiser even called it corrosion of the copper line. This was denied. The 2nd case was the garage door opener was intermittent in opening and closing. This was also denied as the technician stated there was a power surge which caused it. These occurrences were deemed "not wear and tear". American Home Shield appears to be more of a scam. They also use a special contractor. When asked to get a second opinion, they stated there were no other authorized contractors. Jim
