We are patiently working with AHS to replace my cook top which is not repairable. Both repair contractors have agreed that the burner controls cannot be reached for parts replacement. Thank you very much for your support.

The worst company, I closed my account about 2 months and they are not sending me the check, I’ve called so many times and they keep telling me they’re “working on it” I can’t believe they don’t want to pay me. Never get this account.

Had a plumbing problem in the basement, water and sludge were coming back up through the drain and overflowed on to the counter, floor, and everywhere else so I requested service via AHS.com. Received a call from the first plumbing company prior to them dispatching anyone; based on that call, the guy I spoke with basically said, "Can\'t help you, call AHS to have them dispatch another plumbing contractor." So, not only did the first company not come to the house but they didn't even have the courtesy to call AHS and have them dispatch another contractor. Spent another 30 minutes on the phone getting AHS to send another contractor. United Air Temp arrived to fix the issue when I was on business travel and my wife was home alone. They also said, "Can't help, call AHS and have them dispatch yet another plumbing contractor." So I called United Air Temp to get some clarification on the issue and they kept referencing "no clean outs" being available and referred me back to AHS. Contacted AHS again via phone and was advised (in a tone that I would say was more than slightly rude) of two things: 1. Due to the aforementioned lack of "clean outs" that whatever needed to be done to fix it was not covered under my AHS contract. 2. The service fee of $75 will not be refunded as that covers the contractor coming to the house, whether he or she actually does anything. The United Air Temp, during his visit in which he did zero to address or fix the issue, actually told my wife that we should call roto-rooter...so, yeah, the kitchen sink was clogged and he snaked it from the kitchen sink upstairs and the sink downstairs and it came clear. Problem fixed by doing what I would consider basic plumbing work: find the clog and snake it out. Problem solved...so why was that not covered under my AHS warranty when plumbing is covered?! I will be submitting the $400 bill from Roto Rooter to AHS for reimbursement. Wish me luck...

We have been trying for nearly a year to get an ice maker repaired. First they sent a contractor who couldn\'t fix it. Then they sent GE who said they will not work on it because someone opened it up. Then they sent another contractor who said they couldn\'t fix it and would tell AHS to send someone else. Instead, AHS closed the ticket as completed. So we started all over and went through the same cycle two more times. We have now had 10 visits with no resolution to the problem. Each time we have to get them to restart the ticket it's an hour on hold. Each time a contractor came, we had to take time off work. Last week a mini-fridge that's under warranty stopped cooling. Today a contractor from Moonstar came only to inform us that they don't work on mini-fridges. Why would AHS send a contractor who they knew could not fix the problem you ask? So do we. We have attempted to escalate with zero response from the company. It doesn't seem possible that any company could be this incompetent by accident, so it appears that they have a deliberate strategy to wear you down in the hope that you'll give up and pay to have things fixed outside the warranty. Avoid at all costs.

It is the worth company: long wait on a phone, long wait for repair, no consideration for emergencies. I had cancelled two policies. Just horrible!

My most recent repairs went smoothly without any issues. In general, I have had good experiences with AHS except for one instance with my air. However, we were able to get that resolved so I hope it was more of an exception. I have been with AHS for 10 years.

"If I would have an option of "0" stars I would choose it. Dishwasher is broken for over 9 weeks already. 2 contractors tried to fix it. First did not know what they are doing at all. Took 5 weeks to send second one, who told that they can not fix the problem because it seems old appliance and not fixable. AHS promised to send a 3rd contractor still no word. every time calling AHS takes 2-3 hours on hold on a line. Still problem is not fixed. Seems they just waiting to stretch the time so our contract will expire so they will wash their hands. very unprofessional. Never will sign contract with them again.

Terrible terrible company. Used them one year on one house- terrible service. I was eight months pregnant. Weather was about 100 degrees every day and my AC was broken. They just wouldn't replace. In about a month they fixed it a few times and it broke a day after and yet they wouldn't replace it. Service is terrible. On a different house, furnace broke and same problem. I am running away from them. Terrible! This is for the part of the company that services northen VA......terrible!

My basic policy covers many things and gave me peace of mind when it was included in my home purchase contract. I've used my coverage three times and the repairs were prompt and performed by a competent technician.
