Heater went out on a Saturday evening, called AHS, a recording took my info and then a recording tried to give me the repair company’s name. The company called me Monday morning and the technician came out that day. The Technician identified the problem. (Would need to order part). The company called again on Tuesday to let me know the part was ordered and they expected to be out again on Wednesday or Thursday to finish the repairs. The company called back Wednesday morning to say they had the part and the Technician would be calling and out that morning. The Techs called and showed up minutes later, installed the new part and the unit is back up and running fine. ATR General Service Corp Heating & Cooling did a great job. I understand parts may need to be ordered, everything can’t be on the truck. If AHS is going to use an automated system (and that’s okay) it needs to speak clearly so you don’t have to repeat the information multiple times. Other than that AHS also did a great job.

My washer wouldn’t complete the spin cycle, it would restart itself over and over again. I contacted AHS and within hours there was a service technician on site assessing and troubleshooting. It didn’t take long for the fault to be discovered. Sadly it was deemed unrepairable. On a brighter note they’re replacing it for me at no extra cost. Overall the experience was great and their customer service was superb.

I've been with AHS for nine years and the more the prices go up the less they do!!.our house was built in 1938 and now when I want something repaired all of a sudden its preexisting...my house was built in 1938everything in it is preexisting!!!..we opted for the highest plan which we always do and had never had problems before...we needed antifreeze in the air condition unit and the service man told AHS that out was our fault that it was dry because we didn't keep a eye on it,our unit it outside and we are disable veterans, we geeky like complete idiots!!! Because what could we do against this big company we complain and requested to speak to a supervisor and is still waiting since July!!..this have cost its 532$ to get fixed because 242$ we had just paid to AHS a part of our installment fee,we have even recommend you others in the past but will never do it again!!! We even refused to be apart of a class action suit that was against your company years back because we was so satisfied with the company, if I could turn back time!!!...

I love American Home Shield. My last contractor was one of the best contractors in the area and they did not dissapoint. They were there on time and comleted the job in a timely manor. To be quite honest, I have worked with this contractor before I joined American Home Shield and there was no difference in the service they provided. Kudos to you!!!

I have used this company for many years without any problems, however I recently had a problem with a Hot water heater (HWH) that American Home Shield (AHS) provided for me 14 months ago. There is a manufacturers warranty on the HWH and AHS refuses to replace it because of the warranty. There is no local distributor for the for the HWH and I have been without water for a month because of the bickering between AHS and the manufacturer. My biggest complaint is that after being with this company for over 15 years there is no mechanism to talk with a supervisor. The customer service rep will take your number and promise a return call from a supervisor that never comes. I am searching for a new warranty company because of the decline in service. This company would have a much higher rating if it were not for my current conflict with them.
