American Home Shield (AHS)
This was the second time I used American Home Shield (AHS). Like the first time, this was a great experience. What I particularly like is AHS sent out well know companies both times to make the repairs.

Terrible coverage, terrible service techs. Everything takes forever and if something is needing replacement that is major (AC etc.) They only cover $1500 for something that cost close to $5000. My washer and dryer hasn\'t been working since February because the tech tried to tell me that the washer was leaving dirt due to hard water. I lived here for over 10 years and never had a hard water issue leaving dirt on my clothes. Oh and horrible customer service! I'm switching

American Home Shield (AHS)
I am extremely disappointed with our American Home Shield home warranty. We had the Pick 10 plan that included HVAC because our system was 24 years old. In May, our system stopped blowing cold air and we put in an AHS service request. The service contractor said that the system needed to be replaced but that AHS would require Freon replacement at least three times before they would authorize a replacement. With the price of Freon, that would cost us approximately $1000 before AHS would even consider replacing the system. We had two other companies look at the system and both said we needed a replacement. They also mentioned that replacing the Freon would only allow for 2-3 weeks of cool air before the Freon needed to be replaced again due to a leaky Freon tube, meaning we would have hot air blowing during the hot summer months and would have to wait a couple days each time we needed the Freon replaced due to contractor scheduling. We opted to get the entire system replaced instead of replacing the Freon three times costing us $1000 with no guarantee that AHS would eventually replace the system. After we had the system replaced, AHS refused to pay any of the system replacement cost even though the system was 24 years old. I wholeheartedly do not recommend AHS because they are unwilling to replace HVACs when replacement is obvious.

American Home Shield (AHS)
I had a home warranty with AHS that just expired. My trade service fee was $60 per service at the time, it has since climbed to $75. I had AHS contact me a plumber, and the service was done properly and timely; however, I paid the contractor cash for the service call and was given a receipt. 2 months later, AHS sends me a bill for the $60 I had already paid. I called and spoke to customer service, who told me they would verify with the contractor and call me back to let me know this error was taken care of. I never received a call back and had to call again 2 days later, only to be told that I was wrong and I never paid. AHS did not care to properly explain the situation to the contractor and assumed I never paid. I then called the contractor directly with my receipt invoice number and had them dig around (which AHS obviously was too busy to do). Within a few minutes they had found the error, fixed it and called me back. This leads me to believe that AHS never called over there to inquire about this false charge and told me that my bill was still outstanding. Bottom line is that I had to make 6 calls to AHS to sort this out and the customer service is horrendous. I did NOT nor will not renew my warranty with AHS, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
