We have had very good experience with AHS. They got the repairman to the house in very timely manner, and he was on time. The repairman was knowledgeable about the problem (Electric stove burners and controls), diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. The repair was completed as soon as the parts were installed. No additional follow up required. Each time we have called AHS they have been friendly and genuinely concerned about our problem.

We\'ve been a customer for many years and we can\'t think of any issues or problems other than it sometimes takes a little longer to get our needs addressed than we would like. We have had very few incidences where the problem was not fixed within several days and it is usually due to the contracted local service technicians being booked up. Our most recent issue was resolved in a timely fashion and we were treated fairly and without any argument. We like American Home Shield and will continue our business with them.

AHS is well worth the premium, with some caveats. Both our built-in and counter top ranges were replaced without issue, to our satisfaction, and within budget. Be prepared to wait on hold for an extended time before you talk to a representative. Usually 30-60 minutes. The service seems to be contingent on local contactors available. We have had stellar service technicians, and also those that required constant scrutiny insofar as technical skills. To AHS's credit, when we told them about our concerns regarding an initial contractor, they accommodated our wishes.
