Columbia Service Partners bills me monthly for protection for my gas line, water line, and sewage line. The monthly bill is always for a different amount, and is always higher than the combined amount quoted to me for the three protection plans. I recently received an overdue notice and demand for additional payment, despite the fact that I paid the full amount from the last bill within five days of receiving it. I have called them on several occasions to complain that they did not charge me correctly. The usual excuse is that the payment was applied incorrectly, that the issue has been resolved, and that all is well. The following month, the situation repeats itself. Because I pay by check, and keep meticulous records, I can substantiate these allegations. This company has some very serious issues in their billing department and apparently has taken no steps to correct them. Every monthly bill requires a painful phone call. ..View less

I appreciate all the help from SLW. After having back up sewage and a clogged line for years. It is a blessing not having that problem anymore. The plumbing company was prompt in coming out and they explained what was going on and what was needed. The company called back to make sure that the service was completed and Solid plumbing follow up also. Thank you.

They have some serious issues in their billing department. It always requires a phone call. Every year! I keep getting told my payment is overdue even after they have set up an automatic withdrawal from my bank account. Usually the customer service department is very nice. Today they weren't so I'm taking the trouble to write a bad review.

My payments haven't been posted properly, then they have had the nerve to suspend my services!! I've spent hours and hours and hours on the phone trying to get things straightened out and STILL CONTINUE TO HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS. Their excuses get tiresome. their coverage has been good the two times I've used them, but KNOW THAT IT IS AT THEIR CONVENIENCE to get help to you. Their contractors are low budget, slap a temporary fix on it kind of guys, and don't fix things completely without having to call them back for a second or third trip. A total inconvenience to schedule and budget!!!!. overall, this company SUCKS. I'm in the process of taking my 5 homes away from them. ..View less

Instead what happened was that I was patronized and harassed and placed on hold for 10 to more mins at a time and jerking me around. I then got angry and contacted the BBB, WV attorney General and am fling fraud charges with my bank and changing my bank card. Today, I get a call from this company. I said you had your chance to do the right thing and you choose not to. I am taking action against this company. I can only imagine the hell I would have to go through if something actually happened. I have canceled the plan and will get my money back for the last payment. I am writing reviews online all over the place to warn people about this terrible company - Unprofessional, patronizing and incapable of completing the most basic of tasks. ..View less

In preparing to make a new sewer line connection to our existing sewer line for a room addition, the existing sewer line was found to be split in several areas. We called SLW to report the broken old sewer line. The Representative we spoke too was rude, blunt, and refused to cover the damaged line because it was not uncovered by their own plumbers. He accused the Contractor installing our new line breaking the old sewer line. We personally witnessed the exposure of the old line, an old cast iron line with long cracks, and saw it had been leaking into the surrounding area. Since the area had already been exposed and uncovered, the expense for SLW to pay for a new 4 foot section of sewer line would have been minimal. Yet, it was clear to us that they, like so many warranty companies, are in the business of collecting our money, then doing everything they can to deny claims. Cancelled them immediately, and will tell all we know to watch out for their business practices. ..View less

A friend recommended them to me. She had waterlines replaced at no charge. We have used them multiple times for unclogging lines with no concerns. The last time we called, they came out that same day. In December, we had a slab leak. They were able to tunnel under the house and repair the leak. It took three days and was a big job with several employees. I paid nothing out of pocket. Highly recommend.

These folk gave me three days to mail in pmt or I was late. What a rip off. extra fees. Claim bill was mailed on the 19th reached me on the 29th of the month, due on the 2nd. A trained rat with the attached payment could have made the trip faster than their "claimed" mailing.

Over and over they send bill for premium that's already been paid then YOU must take time to call them to make it right and their CS is not that great, this may be the last time I use them. The city of Tulsa should be ashamed to be associated with this clown company.

If you only have to occasional clog or something simple then this is a good service. However my experience has not been good. I had a plumber come out in the middle of Oct to fix an issue with my sewage backing up into my bathtub. While the plumber was at my house I mentioned anther issue with my washing machine where when I do a load of laundry water leaks into my garage. They took a look at it and said they would have to come back out, so they did. The second time they came out the contracted agency sent a plumber out that had just started two weeks ago. (They sent him alone, after trying to cancel on me after I had taken off work early). He came out and replaced some of the pipe behind my washing machine. Cutting a hole in my wall next to my water heater. The new pipe was much larger and the way he did it I cannot replace the dry wall (since there is a 4 inch wide pipe now sticking out of my wall. It worked for a few days and then started running water all over my kitchen as well as my garage. At this point I called Service Line Warranties to request a different plumber be sent out. They refused, telling me they need to send out the same agency since they had already been paid. They didn't want to spend the extra money to send out a different plumber who actually knows what he is doing. I called the plumber back to come out a third time. They sent the same guy out. He snaked the drain for an hour and accomplished nothing. The plumber came out a fourth time and a fifth time. Each time I had to take off work to be there. By the fifth time he ran a camera down the drain and cutting a second hole in my wall on the other side. (So now there is a nice draft running into my house from my garage). After a while I went out to see what the plumber found. He said he ran the camera but that the water was cloudy and he couldn't see anything. He told me his manager wanted to look at the video and call me back (they never called back). Now (being very irritated at this point) I called SLW back and requested, a second time, that they send somebody else. I told them the plumber is causing damage to my house and has been out 5 times now without resolving the issue. I insisted that they send a different agency. Yet again they refused. Telling me they would request a different plumber at the same agency, and informing me that the plumber had only been to my house twice. (Which really irritated me because he had been to my house 5 times over a period of several weeks). I call the plumber back to schedule an appointment. He has to send some paperwork to SLW to verify they will pay for it. I call SLW and they cant find my information. So after 15 mins of repeating my name and address and finally having to give them my account number they tell me they are waiting for paperwork. I call back the next day and go through another 15 mins of they cant find my account (They tell me this is pretty common). They say there will be an out of pocket cost I need to verify, but that some system is down so they will call me back. They never called back. So yet again I call them (every time having to go through the whole "we cant find your account" thing) and now they say there isn't an out of pocket cost, but that I need to wait for them to verify the paperwork. They tell me it should be a few days. I call them again a few days later and get told the same thing. Finally, several days later I called and asked them exactly how long this is gonna take. They put me on hold and then inform me there is an out of pocket cost I need to verify. They then transfer me to a very confused woman in another department. So finally they get it all figured out and they are sending out the plumber, for a 6th time, to come dig up the concrete behind my washing machine. It's now the end of Nov and the issue is still not resolved. ..View less

Zero stars!!! Service Line Warranties of America is a complete sham in my opinion. We have had the policy for several years. In July, we were having issues with a toilet flushing. The plumber we called for the repair used a camera to look inside the line and discovered a break in the sewer line just outside the perimeter of the house. I promptly called Service Line Warranties to open a claim on August 6, 2018. I was told by the company representative that a plumber would be contacting me that afternoon to schedule an appointment. The plumber never called. My husband called the plumber the next day and was told the plumber would be out on Monday of the next week. When the plumber finally showedup, his camera was not charged. He had to sit in our driveway while the camera charged and then supposedly examined the pipe. He left without reporting any findings to us. We again called SLW the next day and were told that they had not heard back from the plumber. We called back on a daily basis for the next week or so with the same results. At first we were told that the plumber said there was no leak. We rebutted that claim and SLW requested the pictures from the plumber. We finally found out that they were waiting on the plumber to send the pictures that he took, but that, when pressed, the plumber admitted that he didn’t have any pictures because his camera was down. SLW sent the plumber out again. This process took several days. The pictures the plumber (finally) submitted confirmed a leak. The plumber said he would be out sometime the next week to fix. At this point, we were almost a month into the claim. Of course, the plumber didn’t show up as promised. This happened several times. The plumber and my husband exchanged numerous texts – all of which consisted of the plumber promising to be out soon and never showing up. My husband called the plumber & his office several times on the phone during this time period. These calls went unreturned. Also, we were calling SLW on an almost daily basis. SLW was unable to give us information any time we called and almost always said “a manager” would call us back. No one ever did. After several more calls to SLW, we threatened to get our attorney involved if SLW could not give us a definitive plan of action. At that point, we were told that the claim was escalated to a manager – Curtis Cox in the Chattanooga office and that he would call us. Curtis did not. My husband finally called him (after several more days of daily calls by us to SLW with no additional information). When he finally got a hold of Curtis, my husband asked if SLW would send a different plumber since the plumber they sent seemed incompetent. Curtis told my husband that the plumber they sent (Plumbing and Drains in Arlington) is the ONLY plumber they have under contract in the DFW Metroplex (Seriously?!?!??) Today is September 24, 2018. My husband again called SLW tonight and spoke with a company representative. She was unable to give us ANY claim update information because they converted computer systems on Saturday and she can’t access any information from the “other” system. (It’s my understanding that SLW was acquired or merged with another warranty company.) He asked to be transferred to Curtis Cox and left yet another message for Curtis (when I feel quite certain will go unreturned). So… here we are almost 7 weeks after the initial claim was filed. Not only has the leak not been repaired, we have absolutely no idea if or when the repair will be made. We have no idea at all what is going on and can get NO INFORMATION from SLW. They always promise Curtis Cox will call us back with a resolution and he has NEVER called us – nor has anyone else from SLW. We always initiate the call. Do NOT get a warranty through this company. It is a useless piece of paper and a waste of money – not to mention incredibly frustrating. In my opinion, Service Line Warranties of America has not only breached their contractual liability but is also in violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act. If they have not satisfactorily resolved our issue by the end of the week, we may just be getting our attorney involved and asking a judge to decide if we are right. ..View less

Continually told I am late on my payment. I receive my bill the day it's due or after the due date. Customer service has been nice and say they will fix it.... NOT! Same problem for four months now. I wonder if they will honor a repair bill or tell me I have been late on payment and not honor the agreement... Buy this policy at your own risk !
