| Home warranty is a complex insurance product. Unlike home insurance, it does not provide blanket coverage for all appliances. Pre-existing conditions and problems resulting from lack of maintenance of appliance are are generally not covered by home warranty companies. Home warranty sellers may not state these factors clearly, and this will create dissatisfaction among customers. Due to these factors, you will see many negative reviews here. Don't be intimidated by some negative reviews here. If you have maintained your appliances in good condition and go with a reputed home warranty provider, your coverage will be fine. |
We do not endorse any company in particular, however you should ignore the reviews that are overly negative or positive. Such reviews are not likely to offer a balanced view and some of them could be fake reviews posted to promote or demote a company. It is always a good idea to check BBB ratings and make sure the company is licensed to do business in your State by contacting State Insurance Commission. Try to avoid paying annual premium and keep your cancellation rights
Complete Appliance Protection, Inc. (CP), is a home warranty company based in Kansas. CP provides a unique appliance protection plan with $0 deductible/service fee which is unique in the industry.

The folks at CAP have always been friendly and helpful. When they give me the authorization #, I call the servicing company and they come right out and take care of the problem.I am completely satisfied.
I have found this company to be very reliable
as often as I can I recommend their services. They have friendly representatives
We have been with this company for nine years and have always had great service; couldn’t be better.
I have been a customer since 1999 and every service request I have made has been taken care of immediately in an extreemly professional manner without any hassles. As a homeowner, I would highly reccommend Complete Appliance Protection.
I have been a customer for only a few months, but am blown away by their customer service. I get a live person every time I call, NO automated menus, a real person, it’s GREAT! I had to replace my refrigerator and I was able to go to a couple of local stores and pick out exactly what I wanted and have it delivered the next day. I just wish there reimbursement schedule was a little richer, but it’s nice knowing upfront exactly what I’m going to get. A lot, lot better than the company I had before.
We have used Complete Appliance Protection for several years. They are immediately responsive, easy to deal with, and do what they say. We have never had any difficulty in using this company. They also have a real person answer the pohone and make decisions on the spot. Top notch in every respect.
The customer service is outstanding…I have tried several home warranty companies and CAPP has been the most honest and reliable of my bunch. Their reimbursement is a bit low when a appliance is to be replaced, but after all the hassle from other companie, I can appreciate the honesty. At least there are no hidden rules or excuses to not cover a claim. I am pleased with CAPP.
WELL I’VE BEEN PAYING THESE GUYS FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS AND I HAD MY FIRST HOME BREAK DOWN (DISHWASHER). A REAL PERSON DID ANSWER THE PHONE BUT THE REFERALS HE GAVE ME NEVER CALLED ME BACK OR DIDN’T ANSWER. I GUESS THEY DIDN’T WANT TO DO THE LEG WORK OF CONTACTING THE COMPANY FOR ME . SO NOW I CAN’T GET A HOLD OF ANYONE. I CALLED BACK AND LET CP KNOW MY SITUATION AND WAS TOLD I COULD CALL MY OWN GUY AND CP WOULD REEMBURSE ME. A LITTLE NERVOUS HOW THIS IS GONNA WORK OUT BUT I WILL REPORT BACK. SO FAR NOT TOO IMPRESSED

After placing my previous rating I would like to re-rate CP to excellent because they followed up with me immediately after and took care of my situation. CP called me and sent over a repair man who was both on time and professional. The nice thing about this service is that there is no deductable. I was in the end happy with my service and glad they remembered me when I called because when I was with American Home Shield I had to explain my situation to everybody I talked to, everytime I called I had to start all the way over. Thanks
The service is always 1st rate. Always friendly, courteous, a person, “a nice, courteous person” answers my call. I am frazzeled, they are calm. Never had any problems with this company & I recommend them to anyone who mentions a problem that their service will cover. It is a relief to have this service & very reasonable.
Jim and Nancy are both excellent to talk with, personalized service, could not be more happy. I just can’t say enough positive notes on this company, very reasonable price wise also!
Great warranty company. Dramatically better than the previous home warranty company I dealt with. Customer service is really impressive. They have exceeded my expectations. Only issue has been their vendors taking time to respond, but as soon as I called Complete Protection, they resolved it or gave me another vendor to contact to resolve my problem.
Very friendly and enjoyable people to talk with. My dishwasher repair was handled very well. The technician that came out was very professional. The best part was no service fee on my end. Complete Appliance is a definite recommendation to homeowners.
I love this company! I’ve had horrible experiences with other warranty companies in the past so I was very hesitant to get another one. The quality of customer service at Complete Appliance Protection truly blew me away! When my AC went out this summer I was dreading a huge hassle but was delighted to find out how quick and easy the process is. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a good value.
We had a pre-existing AC issue. We called on the 31st day of having the service. (There is a 30 day waiting period) The AC issue that we had is usually not covered under most warranties. The service guy called the warranty company just knowing it wouldnt be approved. CAP told the service guy “Fix it and get it done” within 30 seconds. The cost would have been $600 if we werent covered. We didnt have a deductible and sent someone out the same day. The service guy was so impressed he is going to let his friends know about the company as he was worked with many before. Complete Appliance protection was a great investment and has paid for itself the first eligible day of service. I would definately recommend! We chose the Full house package for $60 a month, but they have a basic AC option for about $28 and it goes up as you add in things like washer & dryer, kitchen appliances etc… until you get the ultimate package of the full house appliances, electricity and inbound plumbing. We chose to have everything covered including an extra freezer in our garage for $6 extra. Very happy with the service.
never received a welcome packet. They said it was online. I am legally blind so reading can be hard. They only cover 500 dollars replacement on an A/C unit. the outside unit costs over 2000 dollars. who would buy a 25% policy on their car? no one! this is a complete rip off. Their only response was “its all in black and white” Well thanks for nothing. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I will go out of my way to warn people of this company. American home shield pays over 2000 dollars for an outside A/C replacement. There policy might cost a bit more, I don’t know but whatever it is I will pay it for honest and complete protection.
Was a little reluctant to use a home warranty program because of force stipulations I’ve heard of but after reading reviews and asking several questions to the call center I felt comfortable gong with CP for a month or 2 to see how it panned out on older appliances I had thrown in on a short sale deal. CP was able to cover the appliances and I repaired the AC promptly (even the repair company I chose rated CP a A++) Will be with them for the rest of the year – they definitely eased my mind… AWESOME company!!!
So far, so good. I have always been anti-home warranty! Why, you might ask!!! I did not like to have to pay for the warranty AND pay the trip charge…many repair people would only charge $50-to $70 to handle repairs, so you are going to be out that amount anyway. I also did not like that I was “stuck” with using the other warranty programs “repair” people(and I am being generous!) Now that I own a couple of houses, I felt I should take another look. Although, initially, Complete Appliance “appears” to be one of the more expensive, it IS NOT! If you have to have even one repair/year…you are already ahead with their program, since you do not have to pay for a service call. Also, I can use my own repair person…which I think is huge. I already have a great electrician, plumber and HVAC person/company that does a great job with repairs, and with the other home warranty companies I have used, I had the worst luck with their companies “required” providers…basically, nothing ever got fixed, and I would end up having to pay ANOTHER service charge to have a different repair person come out and NOT fix the same problem, AGAIN!!! In conclusion, I highly recommend Complete Appliance. If they are available in your state, you should definitely use them. Best of luck.
I have tried other home warranty providers and this is far most the best!!! They are always friendly and very professional. I recommend this company to everyone, I have yet had a bad experience with them. Worth every penny!!!
CAP is the best home warranty provider I’ve found. Where AHS let me down, they stepped up. Within the first month of enrolling in the Full House Plus plan w/CAP, I had a small flood due to a leaky pipe under the slab in my condo. They paid for the actual repairs and even allowed me to use my free A/C check right away because I was concerned about the strain on the A/C system while the dehumidifiers and fans were drying my carpet (and heating up my condo). They were pleasant and helpful on the phone and reimbursement turnaround was fast! I happened to mention my bad experience with AHS, who told me I had to fix my 25-year-old dishwasher and didn’t qualify for a new one. Their repair man came twice but the issue was never resolved. CAP came to my rescue and told me I could use their $200 reimbursement allowance toward a new dishwasher. Again, I finally got the issue resolved quickly and efficiently. For my money, CAP is great!
Just received service 2 weeks after my claim to be denied by liars. BAD.
I have been with CAP for about six months now and have had one service request and one request for air conditioning and heating unit maintenance–which they cover! I have a company in Phoenix which I had previously used for air conditioning maintenance, and CAP allowed me to continue to use them, the only difference between me using the company of my choice and the company that they chose was I had to pay then be reimbursed by CAP. With regards to the service call, everything went so smoothly and the company that they sent out was top notch and very flexible with regards to service times. The customer service with CAP, from the first interaction, has always been prompt and professional. I am very pleased, much more so than with First American!
I have been with CAP for a year now. Their service requests are great, but their customer service is extremely rude & VERY unprofessional, even when speaking to a manager. Due to this, I have canceled my account & they have lost a customer forever…..
Have been very pleased with the CP protection plan thus far. Not all repair companies are as timely, but CP is quick to provide the information and approval for necessary repairs and claims.
CAP is the best home warranty company now in existence. They lack only one thing: fame. If they did have it, it would save many homeowners the grief that comes with working with a warranty company that seems dedicated to denying every claim. They are an amazing outfit. If you don’t believe me: Call them. First off, you’ll notice: A HUMAN BEING ANSWERS. No robot. No voice prompts. Secondly, if you have questions, you will get clear, straight-forward answers and promises about their service that sound too good to be true. I have already made a number of claims and found… they WERE true. Their cost may exceed that of their competitors, but, believe me, they are worth every penny of it. Real Estate companies, take note: Sell your client on this company and you can expect gratitude and the increased confidence that comes when an agent makes a sound judgment. To all home buyers my advice is simple: Enroll with them, experience them, and tell your friends. This little jewel of a company deserves all the publicity it can get. CAP merits five stars with ease.
-Humphrey’s Business Review
I am well satisfied with the service of cap. It is nice to deal with the same people on the phone when calling in and the response to service work is speedy and professional. I would recommend Complete appliance protection to others.
We are a service contractor and do repair work for several different warranty companies throughout Greater Kansas City. We have enjoyed working with CAP for many years now. We appreciate that when calling in for authorization or questions on claims, they are very helpful and always look for ways to help not only us but, their customers. When asked by customers who we recommend, CAP is always on the top of the list!
cap this far has ben the worst home warranty program they really should be ashamed of them selves they pulled some mickey mouse bull and tried to rip me off so far i am not satisfied with CAP i think old republic is way better. they have better deals to so cap i am very dissapointed of this horrible rip off
I have been enrolled with Complete Appliance Protection for about 10 months. The representative explained to me the different plans that they offered and what all is covered and not covered. My plan comes with a PM on my furnace and air which I used last week. The technician came out the next day after I called for an appointment. They detected that the AC was low on freon and charged it up. All this was covered by CAP and I am ready for the warm weather. Thanks to all at Cap and to the Service Co. that they recommended.

We take customer complaints very seriously, however, we have no way to substantiate your post due to a lack of any specific information or claim. If you feel our program is a “rip off,” we would be curious to know more information. We never misrepresent how our program works and our Terms and Conditions can be found on our website. You would also have received a copy in the mail upon enrollment. Additionally, our customer service reps always go out of their way to explain what is and what is not covered. We provide all this information in a transparent manner as to avoid any confusion. If a customer chooses to disregard the information that is provided, CP cannot be held accountable.
We bought a foreclosure that was 15 years old and had mostly original equipment. We signed up with another warranty service but after a year were completely frustrated with them. I did a BBB search for which one of these companies actually has a great rating. That was easy, only one, Complete Appliance Protection! The price was higher than other companies but they don’t make you pay a deductible like other companies. We have had six repairs in the last year, and I have personally saved at least $2000 above the cost of the warranty. With the tough economy, we would have been in trouble paying for new appliances or paying an extra $2000 in repair costs. They are simply THE best. I will renew with them every year in this house!
Great company to work with. Reported problems with an A/C received approval after we contacted a licensed professional in the area. We were not forced to use a service company and elected to select our own. Direct billing is permitted with no deductable. We added additional appliances to our contract immediately.
I have found this company to have excellent Customer Service. I researched many companies before signing up and found this warranty company to be the only one in the BBB with great ratings. I have had to call them 3 times in 1 month and had excellent contractors come out. With no deductibles to pay for a call, I have found them to be well worth the investment.
Wonderful company. With other home owner’s warranties we’ve had, we felt like we were a low priority with most of the service people. Not so with CAP. We get prompt first rate service from their vendors.
I could not have been more pleased! The dishwasher was leaking & I knew that from the home inspection. I called a plumber to come fix it along with some other plumbing issues. I was told that it was a problem with the dishwasher & not the plumbing. I contacted Complete Appliance Protection. I had just closed on the house & the payment had not yet been received from the title company. CAP had my application but no payment. Angelia with CAP promised to call me when the payment was received. Then is when she could schedule the repair. Guess what? She DID…amazing! The repair was scheduled a day or 2 later. It was a $230 repair that I paid nothing for. Folks, this is a common sense company. You know what you get for how much. You know what you don’t get & I can deal with that!!!
Our policy went into effect on September, 2010. We have had excellent service and prompt attention from all personnel. Very pleased with this company. They service with a smile. Also if you want they allow you to obtain your own repair people, but we normally reply on their recommendations.
this is one of those buyer be aware type reviews. The company itself is great, and has good customer service for a home warranty company. The biggest problem is they have a max cap on pretty much everything. For example they only pay $300 for a replacement cook top stove, while even the low end cook tops are in the $600 range. Similarly they will pay $500 (or close to it) as replacement cost for an a/c unit, where will you find an a/c unit for that kind of money. I had a water heater leak on me, their replacement cost $300. The heater alone would cost you 400-600 average, plus almost $700-$1000 in labor if you have one in the attic (as is common in Texas). So CAP is a good home maintenance company but not a very good company if you are considering appliance replacement.
I have always been skeptical of Home Warranties due to previous bad experience, but when we bought our new house we went by the reviews of Complete Appliance Protection and we had an issue with our AC almost as soon as we moved in. Our issue was taken care of promptly and was covered completely. I know that this plan isn’t as comprehensive as some are, but I think the ones which are more comprehensive don’t actually pay for what they claim they will. They find loopholes. Complete Protection does what it says it will, and were very pleased.
They repaired my dryer, oven and air conditioner. The cusotmer service reps were professional and quick to assist me. Every repairman was courteous and helpful. All were on time. The AC repairman was superb! Our AC died at 2PM; he was at our house by 7PM. We had AC at 9PM. Refunds have been prompt – usually within 10 days.
I will and have recommended CP.
I have used this company for quite a few years. Have never had any problems. They always answer right away, and have very good companies to have you call for service. Have had to use the replacement service a couple times, and received the check a couple days after I sent the receipt in to them. Would reccomend them to anyone!
Highly recommend this company, they do exactly what they say they will do! I really looked around before purchasing a home warranty and I do believe this one is the best. The man who services my appliances says hes does lots of home warranty service work and he says by far this is the easiest one to work with, he said they respond quickly and pay up fast. He was amazed at the terms of the contract and that they didn’t refuse to do the work. I guess other companies that he works with are not that easy to get the work authorized or treat the customers fair.
I just decided to replace my old dishwasher instead of fixing it and the company paid the scheduled reimbursement cost within 10 days. I really feel I have treated very fairly by this company! I give them a 5 star rating!
The heating and cooling plan really works for me. I am with CAP for a year now, and I just received my third repair authrization number (yes, our system is old). I like CAP because there is per call no service fee, although the plan only covers a portion (fixed amount) when you need a replacement of the whole unit. I prefer this way, so I recommend CAP for those who are willing to spend some money when you need a brand new replacement, but not for fixing what you have.
We have been very pleased with both the CP representatives and the recommended service companies. They are always friendly and quick to respond to repair issues. We recently had a performance problem with our AC unit and CP had a service provider out to us almost immediately. Unfortunately all of our home issues have gone beyond the basic coverage, but we are still impressed with the promptness and professionalism of CP.
I have found this company to have excellent Customer Service. ***You get to talk to a real person when you call, not a message that says we will call you back***I researched many companies before signing up and found this warranty company to be the only one in the BBB with great ratings. Not long after purchasing my home I had an issue with the heat pump, new to me since I moved from FL. The repair was done very quickly and now works fine. And CAP Inc. even provides a FREE yearly AC/Heat Pump check up. Thank you CAP Inc
Polite warm body answered the phone, got me a case number immediately, A/C repair guy called very shortly after and showed up that afternoon. A/C tech worked very hard to get our A/C working better and indicated CP took very good care of him on the money side. No issues, very happy w/ them, all this very shortly after just buying our house.
I have had this coverage for over 2 years. My son learned about it and told me how satisfied he was with a difficult service call. The kept after it until it was resolved. I then signed up for the protection. Sure enough, my son was right. Had an oven, and air conditioning (twice) service calls and was very satisfied. I would not be without the coverage as it had paid for itself in service fees. Keep up the good work CAP! One of my service calls took a little longer to get someone here, but I think it was a holiday or weekend. It wasn’t CAP’s fault.
We have had Complete Appliance Protection for several year and have had to use the protection plan several time on major appliances and small appliances, and not once have we had any problems with our rep Jim and staff. We call and they produce. The protection plan has more than once paid for itself. I would recommend this service to everyone.
My home warranty with AHS expired Nov. 2010,and before I did an automatic sign-up,I thought it would be wise to research some review’s.Glad I did I read some real horror story’s on a lot of these review’s.So I picked CAP based on the positive feedback. It proved to be good choice. I had to have our oven circut board replaced this past Jan. also just had the a/c fixed this Aug. That bill was $406 and remember $0 deductable. What I also liked was the feedback from the quality repairman they use;they told me CAP is one of the best outfits to deal with.So that being said I truely think that they are the real deal.
I found this company by reading reviews on this site. The biggest factor that attracted me was the $0 call out fee with no pre-set limits. Every time I called the company, a live person (non-IVR) answered the phone. The company also has no pre-existing condition clause. I phoned in for an electrical repair I needed, and they let me choose my own electrician. I am extremely satisfied and strongly recommend this company. I got my girlfriend to sign up also. The only thing I wish they offered was sprinkler system addon.
I have been using this warranty company for the past 2 years and have had to use them on 4 different occasions for kitchen appliances. I have always received excellent customer service with a live person answering the phone. I have the option to use one of the company’s preferred providers and not pay a dime out of pocket or I can use someone of my choice and get reimbursed for the charges. When I needed to do this I was reimbursed promptly. I never had a repair request questioned or denied and I have always been treated with prompt courteous service, with a service call able to be scheduled usually within a day. I have used other warranty companies in the past where I have had to pay a service call fee and found that a “band aid solution” was used to try to solve a problem and then I had to have repeated service calls to address issues, sometimes even having to wait days to have an a/c unit repaired. This has never been the case with Complete Protection.
I have had two experiences with Complete Appliance Protection. One was immediately positive and the other was eventually positive. In the first case, when our air conditioner died and the temperature was over 100 degrees, CAP immediately referred me to an excellent repair company the took care of the problem right away. In the second case, when our oven died, CAP referred me to a repair company that came out the next day and said they would order parts and get back to me. Unfortunately two weeks later they had not called me and were not returning my calls. So, I called CAP instead. The CAP representative apologized profusely and explained the due to other similar complaints the repair company had been terminated as a provider just that very morning. I was then asked to please contact any local repair company I choose and have the oven repaired. They explained the they would prefer to pay the company directly but if the company would not agree to those terms I’d need to pay them and CAP would reimburse me. This turned out to be the case and CAP reimbursed me within a week of my submitting the bill. Overall I could not be happier with CAP!
Wonderful, prompt & friendly customer service. I can choose from all available appliance repair technicians (who are also prompt, reliable and friendly). We purchased an older home with original appliances so we anticipated replacing the 20+ year old items, I just wish the published credit rates were a bit higher. You have to go ‘bare-bones’ with replacement but every little bit helps.
I am a huge cynic, and look for ‘the catch’ in most transactions. I am pleased to say I cannot find one in dealing with CAP. I recently bought a mobile home which needed some cosmetic repairs, but I was told everything was in working order. Within 2 months, both the refrigerator and air conditioner had problems. CAP staff was friendly, efficient and gave me a work order number and repair tech info and no hard time. Only small glitch was the fridge tech stopped doing warranty work and he was the only one CAP had on file, in our somewhat-rural area. I had to find my own. Minor inconvenience. He was so impressed with CAP he is now doing work for them. Everything in great working order and I have peace of mind.
The original plan came with coverage for a dishwasher, which we don’t have. CAP let me substitute another appliance (the previously mentioned refrigerator) which was a big savings. I also like the no co-pay.
I had experience with AHS when I lived in the Philadelphia area. Nothing but trouble, so I have seen other home warranty companies. I like the way CAP does business.
I are extremely impressed with Complete Applicance Protection and the way they do business. From quickly answering the phone in person, to their amazingly simple, immediate and stress-free authorization process, to allowing customers to choose their own service companies, to sending reimbursement checks out quickly. It’s all good! If only all insurance companies were so pleasant and simple to work with. As I looked through this site, I saw that other companies had a deductible — CAP does not, and that’s really nice, too.
I have had a warranty program with CAP for many years. I have always been satisfied, even delighted. No hassle ever; very straight forward help. For $48/month, I think it is an excellent deal. They have taken good care of me everytime. I definitely recommend CAP.
I had another company before CAP and they were awful. No service on the weekends and hard to get hold of. Excellent customer service, return calls in a timely manner and had service within hours on a Sunday. Great company! I highly recommend them.
I should start by saying we’ve had a very negative experience in the past with another home warranty company and have had several friends share their negative experiences so when we purchased our home and chose complete protection as our home warranty company, we didn’t really think we’d ever 1) need them and if we did need them 2) we would have so much hassle it wouldn’t be worth the process. But this wasn’t the case!
What I loved about our experience:
1) The same lady ALWAYS answered our calls, Angela. This made me feel like this wasn’t just another huge company where I didn’t matter, but this was a small business that really cared about taking care of their customers. And they answer the phone 24/7!
2) They were very timely about their response on sending out a company to check out our appliance. The company they provided was excellent, as well. Very knowledgable and honest.
3) Though of course it would’ve been nice to receive more money to replace our broken appliance, it was a reasonably sufficient amount to replace it with a bottom of the line appliance.
4) When we submitted our claim, I didn’t feel like they were trying to disprove us the whole step of the way. But came from an angle of believing that we really had a problem and they truly wanted to help resolve our issue.
I’d recommend Complete Appliance Protection for anyone!
CAP was recommended by our home inspector, who was recommended by a trusted friend. We have been very pleased. We’ve had our Oven, Washer, Ice Maker, Cooktop, AC & Water Heater taken care of through the policy. The service has been excellent! Thanks.
I signed up with this company based off the positive reviews from this website. I had to make my first claim last week for a leaking water heater. I actually forgot that I had added a water heater to my basic plan until something told me to pull out my CAP policy. I gave them a call early that morning and someone answered right away. I explained what was happening with the water heater, the rep asked me a few basic questions about the water heater, and then gave me some contractors to call. I have a handyman that I use for plumbing and electrical so I asked if I could use him and to my surprise they said of course! I called my handyman and he was there in 2 hours with the new water heater. CAP asked him a few questions before he started and that was it. CAP told me they would send me a check for the replacement and service call fee. The total was $318. That obviously only covered about 1/3 of the total cost with labor but that sure did help especially before the Holidays. My handyman was very impressed that he didn’t have to jump through any hoops for the claim either.
If you are thinking about using CAP, make sure you read their replacement policy that clearly outlines what they will pay to replace an item. I bought the Kitchen package and added a trash compactor and water heater separately.
Overall I’m very happy with my choice to go with this company.
We purchased an older home with original appliances (20+ years). Since we weren’t in a position to replace the appliances immediately, we purchased an appliance warranty from CAP. It was the best decision made, we have already needed to replace our stove & dishwasher and have our refrigerator serviced. CAP has excellent customer service, repair timeliness and allows us the ability to choose our repair service company. The one downfall is that the replacement credit toward a new appliance could be greater but overall we are extremely happy with CAP!
Complete Appliance Protection is by far the BEST home warranty company out there. We previously had other home warranty companies, but they were not timely in responding to our inquiries, there was a lot of “we don’t cover this or that,” and more importantly, the people they sent did shoddy repairs, which resulted in repeated calls for the same problem.
We did a fair amount of research before buying another warranty and CAP was highly rated. We have called them to fix a number of our appliances. They always answer the phones promptly and in a friendly manner, the companies they send are always professional, and in the instance of our appliances that exceeded cost for repairs – they told us they would reimburse us up to the defined limit. There are no hidden clauses, no bait-and-switches, just good service.
Another reviewer mentioned not to use this if you want to replace appliances – that isn’t the goal of these companies – it’s to protect your investment, not replace it. While their initial costs are generally higher than other warranties, their courteous service and responsiveness, the caliber of technicians they send, and their no-fine-print business model makes them stand head and shoulders above other companies.
Having a home warranty through Complete Appliance Protection is one of the best investments I have made. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of services I have received from CAP. The representatives are always friendly and quick to respond to my repair needs. Overall, I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality service.
I had a horrible experience with a home warranty company about 7 years ago and thought they were a sham. A friend mentioned how glad they’d been for purchasing a home warranty on their house and so I reconsidered using one and researched them. I’m so happy I chose CP, the reviews are accurate. They’re customer service is great, they give you various choices of local businesses to help and these companies they work with have been reliable. When my a/c went on the fritz, I had a local company out within 24 hours to fix my a/c and more recently to fix my fridge. Do read the fine print of the contract and don’t expect them to replace your $10K a/c unit, but when it comes to overall maintenance and upkeep they are there for you 110%. I received the service you would expect, which was a great experience and no hassles. They may be a tad more expensive than the average, but it’s worth it in your time, headaches with other companies and the quick resolutions your immediate problem…and you don’t have to endure a fighting match to get your issue fixed. I highly recommend CP!
We found Complete Protection while searching on the internet for a new company. The first thing that caught our attention was “zero” down and reviews by other customers. We picked a great company. The customer service is above average in getting a service rep to our home. The work on our dryer, which is seven years old, was done professionally and quick. We couldn’t be more pleased with this company and would recommend them to everyone. You won’t be disappointed.
I own several rental homes and have always kept Home Warranty plans on them and the house we live in. During our last move we chose to go with Complete Appliance Protection. After moving in we had several issues that we didnt expect and that the inspectors had missed. CPA handled everything for us quickly without any calls or searches for sevice people required from us like we have had to do with other high rated companies which I wont mention. We really were impressed. You can actually talk to real people and not get stuck playing the phone game. They were on top of it from the first call until everything was fixed to our satisfaction. We have two other homes and as soon as the warranty contracts expire, we are going to protect them with Complete Protection too.
When I bought a house in Arizona I researched the Home warranty companies because I had been with American Home Shield and First American and didn’t feel they were a good value because I had to pay $50 to $65 to the repairman when he/she came out only to find out that the particular problem was not covered. So, I gave Complet Protection a try on my houses in Arizona and Texas. I have filed a few claims and I absolutely lovc them. Jim or Angela answer the phone and I feel like they know me contrary to the other companies. I tell them what’s up and they let me pick my own repairman or they will refer one. When the repairmen come out I ask them how they like Complete Protection and they love them. It is a win win situation. Never one problem, personal attention, and zero deductible…you can’t beat that!! I highly recommend you give them a try.
We rarely give reviews, but Complete Appliance Protection has been such a great company to work with that they deserve all the praise we can give them. We chose them after doing research and looking at lots of other reviews. It turned out to be an excellent choice. They offer great customer service, and the protection plan we chose has more than paid for what it cost us. We just renewed our annual coverage, and highly recommend them!
After trying several home warranty companies over the years, and feeling “ripped off”, we decided to try Complete Protection.
We recently moved into another home and encountered some problems, first with our refrigerator, then with the HVAC thermostat. To our amazement, Complete Protection gave us a authorization number immediately, and a phone number to set up an appointment with a repairman, who diagnosed the problem and installed a new part the next day. The same with the
thermostat. The old one was defective and the repairman replaced with a new one the next day. We are sold on Complete Protection and plan keep their coverage for a long time.
We love CAP. They have outstanding customer service and they provide for hassle free repairs to our home. We have had nightmares dealing with other home warranty companies in the past and CAP is a refreshing change. Recently, we had some small electrical repairs that were needed, however, when the technician arrived, he identified a multitude of problems. CAP had initially only authorized 1 hour of service based upon our estimate of what needed to be fixed, but quickly authorized the technician to continue his service until we were well taken care of. And one of the nicest features is that there is NO deductible. We have a great home warranty company and if you are having ANY problems with yours, drop ‘em and check out CAP!
CAP is a great warranty service. I have the “full house” coverage which includes the AC and furnance. In the fall I had an issue with my AC. It was original to the house (over 20 years old) and new it was not going to be a cheap repair. I signed up with CAP after a family member recommended it to me and when spring came around, I had a repair tech come out and give his opinion on repair versus replacement. It ended up being more cost effective to have the system replaced and CAP didn’t fuss about the $850 they will put toward a new system. Very good experience dealing with CAP and the vendor that I got to choose. No deductibles. No pre-existing condition exclusions. Excellent customer service. Great company.
We had researched for the best home warranty plan that wouldn’t give a homeowner the runaround. We almost went with another company, but was so glad that we didn’t. The third month into our coverage, a part on our furnace failed. It was winter, it was cold and we needed it fixed. One call to CAP and I talked to a very helpful and friendly human being, who listed the companies in our area that they work with, and we were familiar with one already listed, and that’s all it took. CAP called the vendor, and they knew who we were and what we already needed. The repairman came, made a call to get approval, and fixed our furnace. I didn’t have to jump through any hoops, didn’t have that fear that our repair wouldn’t be approved due to a preexisting condition, and that was it. We didn’t pay a thing, but the monthly premium. CAP followed up to make sure their service and the vendor did a good job. The reimbursement rates might not be as high as other companies, but your repair will be paid and/or you will be reimbursed if you use your own repairman. We have the whole home coverage and feel that CAP is one of the best home warranty companies out there.
I have read most of the reviews about this company and was somewhat skeptical about
it. For the last few months I have been shopping around for a good home warranty and finally my neighbor convince me to look again since everyone of the companies I tried to contact were not convincing enough and after reading reviews of other people experiences kept putting it off. Again my neighbor had a bad experience with the company he had a contract with and I told him about CAP. he told me how good the service was and after researching and reviewing I made the call. My house is about 14 yrs old, relatively young and I have already replace the A/C unit
to a better brand, nevertheless I thought it may be a good idea to invest the monthly premium and see what happens. And it happen with in 40 days of having the
program my expensive refrigerator develop a leak!, That Monday I made the call and a very friendly service advisor responded, she ask a few questions and in a matter of minutes I have not only my refrigerator set for a tech to come and look at it but also she set me up to have my A/C preventive maintenance set up as well. But it did not end there, the service was done on time and without problems and needless
to say I am very satisfied and a convert to this company. I recommend it to all and can not see why would anyone will use a different company.
Our 30 day wait period for this warranty ended a week ago during which we requested for a preventive maintenance. Angela and Mandy provided us good customer service when they had our request going right that day of the call. Their customer service and responsiveness is undeniably good. I was then given contact info of their in-network servicer, who in turn responded so well. The servicer provided a thorough P.M. and recommended replacement of A/C unit’s contactor and charging of R-22. The best part is CAP took care of the tab with ease. After consulting with the servicer, they immediately approved the replacement of parts and the cost of labor. I would say that CAP certainly fulfills their end of the deal and truly cares for their customers.
No matter what day or time we call, we are answered by a “real” person who sincerely wants to help us! Polite, professional and organized, the people at CAP take care of our needs immediately. We have been with the company for many, many years and highly recommend them to our friends and neighbors! I know we have saved a lot of money on service calls and repair and have benefited, on occasion, from their replacement coverage. All in all, thank you CAP for all you have done and for never making us feel as if we call too often!
These guys are amazing. I had my furnace stop working so I called and was given a referral. Unfortunately the company was not able to come out that day. So I called Complete Appliance back and they said I could use any company I could find, I just needed to call for approval before they did the work. I was able to find someone to come out, and they determined that there were several problems, about $800 to fix. I called Complete Appliance for approval, and after they talked to the tech, I was pleasantly suprised that they had approved the work. The cost of the repair was more than the amount that they allow for a replacement, and they still approved the work. Since I had chosen my own repair company, I had to make the payment, and send the invoice into Complete Appliance. After about a week, I had received the check for the entire amount I paid. Even the repair company had said they had never seen a warranty company approved repairs for that amount, especially when it was not their repair company.
