I had this company for about 6 months. I needed a plumber because half our house wasn't working. It took them 2 weeks before they got someone over and he was incompetent. This company was beyond awful. They sell a great sounding "plan" and all these add-ons to cover appliances, pool equipment, and other optionals and make it sound easy to file claims online. We paid over $860 in service fees before we had to file our first claim. On our first service call they sent a technician who did not know the equipment at all. He blamed "maybe the circuit board", "maybe the pump". We asked how much it would be to fix and said we'd be happy to just pay to get it fixed, but he said he had to send a report back to Cinch first and that they'd call us back. The technician said the dishwasher was cheap crap from China and told us we should buy a new unit. Surprise, surprise, Cinch never called or emailed. Instead, they simply marked our claim online as "Completed" with no explanation. We noticed this, so we called them to ask what happened. The phone rep said they would have to file something and get back to us. A couple days later they emailed to say they denied our claim (but still charged us $100 for the guy to come out) because the dishwasher broke due to "calcium buildup" and lack of proper maintenance. We disputed the claim with Cinch, which they sat on for an additional few days, and then emailed again that they would not look into it further. Based on the reviews here and elsewhere, this seems their entire strategy - send incompetent technicians, teach them to blame the customer for lack of maintenance, and then ignore or deny claims/complaints. They even reply to your complaints from an email address which you can't respond to to follow up! We ended up calling GE directly and the technician arrived within 4 hours and had the unit fixed within an hour. It turned out to be a part jammed in the motor, the motor wasn't even broken. It was NOT calcium build up and there was nothing wrong with the unit! He fixed it and all was well - and it was less than $250 vs. the $860 we had paid Cinch thus far. So basically, Cinch stalls as long as possible after denying your claim so you just give up and pay to get it fixed yourself. Complete waste of money. Steer clear. ..View less

I have used the my warranty for my washer, fridge and now my dishwasher and each time the cost as been minimal compared to direct contact with repair service. Communication is adequate yet I had to contact service to get information on the status of my repair. Over all happy with my warranty I have saved money and time.

The customer service agents are courteous and knowledgeable. They are professional. The repair people know a lot about the problems. The parts people can get the parts readily. So far, no bad issues. Technician seems knowledgeable and takes care of problems fast. Pleasant. My one problem is trying to get on to ***** site at beginning. After I finally get on then it is not so bad. It is those robo talkers that ask questions. A person could handle it in half the time.

Very pleased with technicians from Cinch Home Services, who repaired my dryer. Working well and doesn't sound like a threshing machine. They were very proficient, friendly and knew their job and left everything as they found it. Very satisfied except for long wait for parts and that wasn’t their fault.

I called to have someone come back out and I was charged an additional $100 for a problem that was supposedly fixed the day before. With their system, you can't tell anyone what the exact problem is or that the ill trained tech didn't do the job right. It's all animated. To cancel the second service call that I shouldn't have been charged for, I had to press '0' 15 times before I could talk to a representative from India. I was told it would take 10 business days to get my refund & I'm worried that won't happen and the rep was to give me a confirmation number for the refund request and he hung up before giving it to me & I was to get an email which never has come about the refund. I want to cancel, but everyone tells me this is the best warranty. Prove it to me. I'm frustrated that this company lacks professionalism, very difficult to resolve problems or speak to a rep who speaks English clearly. I have had American Home Shield before on a previous home & they were much better & the techs knew what they were doing & the problem fixed. In dec 2020 we called Sears for a leaking dishwasher. A technician came and said it was the heater and ordered one after 2 weeks we got the heater but another technician came and said it was the copper pipe and was not covered. We ended up buying a new dishwasher. The technician signed us up for a warranty service. They don’t know what is covered and not. I am planning to cancel it. Waste of money.

In Dec 2020 I submitted a request for my built-in dishwasher to be repaired. Three times the appointment was changed. Finally in January 2021 I contacted Cinch and reminded them that my policy guaranteed replacement if the appliance couldn't be fixed. I am still waiting for the repaired machine or the new replacement. Worst warranty service ever.

Service repair personnel were great. Only issue was parts were not delivered as ordered by the repair man so there was a month delay. Again the service personnel we’re very respectful and apologetic that the correct parts were not ordered

Have had 2 different repairs and both times they had part needed on van and repaired in a very short time. Very knowledgeable repair tech,repaired my gas oven and second time my over the stovr microwave.
