Super

Super is a new and upcoming home warranty company that entered the home warranty industry in 2015. Super claims to be the only technology home services company that pays for the costs that homeowners normally pay. The company provides services across 6 states in the country, namely Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, and parts of Illinois, Pennsylvania and Texas. Super's vision is to provide individualized care for the lifetime of a home. It intends to reinvent the home warranty industry with exceptional service experience, expanded financial protections, and a comprehensive technology-driven solution. It alleges to create a system that not only fixes home related problems but also anticipates the need for preventive measures in home services, covered or uncovered.

Freezer was not staying cold and my food would thaw and refereed ruining a lot of food - super insisted on putting a band aid on it instead of replacing so a few months later same issue. I recently had my water heater replaced and they inflated the costs $200, I.e. to install a pan (like literally set on the ground - they cost $25), won’t cover code required items so that’s out of pocket, won’t share a detailed invoice. They also don’t pay the servicers what they say they pay them and pocket the money for themselves I’ve heard this from several servicers that have worked for this warranty company and others in the past. Do yourself a favor and just save up for new appliances - what they charge for yearly service isn’t worth it. ..View less

The -6 weather with no furnace and 90 heat with no air conditioning simply aren’t their concern. Worst company. ..View less

STAY AWAY! Been using Hello Super for almost two years; at first they were great - covered repairs in a timely manner - no complaints. BUT this past year they are HORRIBLE! Alway finding an excuse not to cover a repair, when they do repair something it takes forever. Your better off saving your money and paying a professional you can trust to repair your home.

We purchased a house that had a garage door that had a broken trolley carriage a month after we moved in. I called Super because we had a warranty. They said pay the $75 deductible and we'll come out and fix it. After the fact, they said I owed $288 because my warranty was void because my inspection said the sensors on the door weren't working properly and that a professional needed to come out to address them. The sensors were just covered with mud and when we cleaned it, the door operated just fine. Regardless, the sensors had nothing to do with the fix. Voiding my claim on this technicality and telling me to "read the fine print" really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and is disingenuous to me. Further, had I known they would charge this way, I never would have called them in the first place. Lastly, I said I don't agree and they charged my credit card anyway without my authorization. ..View less

Their contractors would basically tell us the system was trash and didn't work efficiently and would need replaced but Super wouldn't do anything unless it was basically on fire (though thats not covered either). They would make band-aid fixes which they said probably would not fix the overall problem. They were correct and finally this year the tech said the blower and heat pump weren't compatible something I feel should have been covered during one of the multiple other visits. This of course is NOT covered by Super! So 3 years of Super, half a dozen or so visits by their tech contractors, and we are finally told the system will never work right AND probably never has and saddled with replacing the system ourselves! Complete garbage! ..View less

The company use fraudulent and misleading tactics to gain money on claims. They referenced portions of my contract that were not correct even after I pointed it out. Only after I got the *** involved did they admit charging me incorrectly on 1 of 3 charges. I still dispute their claim of charging me $200 for "modifications" installing a water heater when no mods were made.

Please read all the other reviews as well to get a sense of what this company is. Super is bad at communication, they never do service in a timely manner, they do not care about you as a customer outside of renewals, and they absolutely do not let you talk to a real human. My last two claims were a mess and they are great about taking your money, but poor with everything else.

This is a Fraud company, do not register with them. This company took my money and it seems they are Fraud. 1st Claim - Primary Refrigerator, I submitted a complaint for my primary refrigerator and an Oven burner issue. They sent a company, Bigshot appliance, and the representative seems to have no knowledge about the refrigerators or ovens. He said the condenser is leaking and the burners are dirty beyond Cleaning. As well as lied to me on what he told Super. First thing they said that this is a maintenance issue!!!! and not covered. Then i explained the situation and that i need some other company to verify this. They sent another company and their tech seemed knowledgeable, he cleaned the burners as well as said there is nothing wrong with the condenser, the relay is working fine, however the compressor failed due to age. When i called them, to follow up (as my refrigerator was out now for more than ten days because of their incompetency, and i have three little kids) they said that they need my inspection report, I told them that i bought the house 3 years ago, so it wouldnt be of any value. They insisted on that and as well on any repair that happened in the past. So i sent them the inspection report. As well as an invoice last august when a technician changed a relay for me. I started to think they are fraud and they will just deny the claim. Exactly what happened, they denied the claim. They claimed that the company they sent said that the compressor failed due to the relay that was changed out previously (The company, Master Tech). Which is totally opposite to what the technician told me and that the relay is working perfectly. These people are in fraud business and it seems i am not the first person they tell that too. One of the companies that worked for them told me they put their account on hold because they gave the diagnosis to the customer, and when they tried to lie to the customer he showed them they lied!! 2nd they told me that my secondary refrigerator True TS-72 would be covered, I gave them the model before registration. Then when i put a claim they took another 75$ and sent a man and they said, sorry we dont cover commercial refrigerators, SO WHY SAY YOU DO FROM THE BEGINNING and why take service fee for something u dont provide!!! I Asked to talk to a manger to either fix my Fridge or return my money back on May 21st, the reply was, we will inform them! Till this date I have not been contacted by any one. Super then promised us a cash out to pay for the dishwasher replacement. We had the dishwasher replaced and they still haven't sent the cash out or seem to know where it is. Our furnace stopped working and essentially the same thing happened. Slow service from bottom of barrel repair company. Nothing got fixed, so we had to pay for it out of our own pocket then weeks later Super comes around and says "Hey, we'll fix half the problem. But you have to pay for 2/3 of it". Every time we try to get someone on the phone it's just empty promises and phone tag. Save yourself the money and headaches. Put the money you would spend on the subscription in savings and use that for any repairs you may have to make. ..View less

I would not recommend using this company. The way they try to save money by leaving their customers waiting is crazy. We just bought a home in the Dallas, Texas area and the home warranty we purchased was through Super. We had heard good things about them and they were not the least expensive option by far. Our first claim was for a washing machine. We called to see if it would be covered, assuming it wouldn't be because it did not come with the house. We were told it would be covered and a service repair tech was assigned to come out. The repair tech never came, but called and said he knew what the problem was and thought the machine needed to be replaced. For TWO WEEKS we called to get resolution. We talked to 5 different customer service reps. Each time, we double checked to see if the machine was covered, and each time we were assured it would be. After many frustrating calls trying to get answers, I spoke with a manager and he explained that they had training issues. Everyone we spoke with was not aware that a washing machine that didn't come with the home wasnt covered? Really! Ultimately we were refunded for the service visit that never happened, and he was shocked to learn that the repairman never came to the house. (Training issue again?) I guess all I have to say is you can't trust that what you hear from the customer service reps is true. You had better ask to speak to a manager and then prepare to be given the run around for days to actually speak with one. They could have kept a happy customer by just telling us the machine wasn't covered from Day 1. Very frustrating to say the least! They didn't even consider providing some consideration for teh fact that we were without a washing machine for over two weeks because of their issues. ..View less
