It took several phone calls and 2 1/2 weeks to fix my refrigerator. This company has poor internal communication issues. As a customer, I felt helpless. They regard slow as acceptable.

Had an issue with Double Oven stopping working. First repairman dispatched basically checked the breaker and did nothing. 2-10 sent a second team out that repaired it same day. However due to the delay caused by the useless first guy it took over a week for this to get repaired. For that reason I am only giving this review 3 stars.

I’ve had a warranty with 2-10 since purchasing my home in 2016. After four years, I can say with complete certainty that renewing this contract yearly was the biggest waste of my time and money. It works fine for small fixes that would cost us less to pay out of pocket but anything beyond a minor fix is a complete hassle. We went without a/c for nine days in the middle of the summer. I spent hours on hold waiting for an answer and ultimately just replaced our a/c out of pocket. I called to have a roof leak fixed over a week ago. Today I learned that the 2nd company they tried to dispatch doesn’t even have a contract with them. So when I called back a third time I was told that I needed to find my own contractor and I could apply for a reimbursement. I have asked several times to speak with a customer service manager and have yet to speak with one. I will definitely not be renewing my contract this year and could not be more displeased with this company. ..View less

Multiple repeat service calls were required, but the leak was never truly fixed until I hired a contractor of my own who showed me the poor quality of work the 2-10 contractor had performed. A issue with my A/C unit turned out to be not covered under the 2k/year "gold / top tier" policy. While I agree the item was called out the the multiple pages of "not covered" issues, not being an A/C specialist myself meant I had no idea that an integral part of of the A/C system was excluded. Poor policy and poor communications. My dryer heating element failed, and was replaced by a 2-10 contractor. The new unit failed 3 months later, and neither 2-10 nor the contractor would stand behind their work. Replacement heater was installed by a qualified technician who noted the previous replacement part was a non-factory cheap knock-off. Needless to say I did not renew my policy with 2-10. ..View less

I had a very bad customer service and claim settlement with this company. Their customer service is very hard and they just repeat the same thing. Here is what happened to me. Had my refrigerator not cooling so called 2-10 HBW on 10/26. They dispatched a technician, who diagnosed as some part need to be replaced on 11/2, ordered the part charged my co-pay $75.00. Started using the refrigerator, loaded things in it and few days later noticed it was still not cooling and all things spoiled. Called 2-10 HBW again on 11/10, another technician from the same company came and replaced a another part. Now they are charging me a another co-pay of $75.00 saying it is different problem. If they fixed the problem correctly in the first time then I don't have pay $75 second. Looks like they charge me every time they visit for the same problem and is not right. When I called 2-10 HBW they keep saying the contractor said it is different problem and insist to charge me another $75.00. So be careful with this practice that every time they show up they will charge $75.00. I found this link in the website and hence logging my complaint here. The customer service desk at 2-10 was horrible and when I asked for Supervisor they said no one available. They are people but answer questions like robots. My work order number is 8127191. I hope some one reviews this and do the needful. Thanks. ..View less

My experience with 2-10 Home Warranty has been disappointing. It took 2 months and 5 separate visits from technicians (4 different diagnoses) to fix my refrigerator. The issue was simply that the defrost timer went out and needed to be replaced. While the contractors used by 2-10 were very disappointing--the first tech said we had a freon leak (no tests were ran), the second said "this just happens with old fridges" (the fridge is 7 years old), the same tech returned and said it's the heating element (again, no test were ran), then a third tech came and confirmed that the timer was bad and needed to be replaced (literally the first thing they checked/tested). While this experience was frustrating, 2-10's customer service representatives made the experience even worse. They cancelled the first service request, forgot to send another (the manager never called in the request), a few representatives were rude and I spent hours on hold trying to speak with someone. Moving on to my current issue, I have no water coming out of any faucets in my home and was advised that this is not an emergency. While the service provider has 1 business day to contact me, there is no timeframe that they have to arrive within--meaning that I could be without water for weeks if that provider doesn't have an available appointment until that time. ..View less

Both the claims rep and the manager told me that I would not have any other charge than the $100 deductible. I made sure to ask more than one person and have them notate the reason I called in. The plumbers came back and finished the job the next day.. Great service! Until I get a bill from the plumbers for $284! I called in spoke with a claims rep. They said to not pay it and they would take care of it on their end. O.k.. Gave it a week and called back I got told that they are taking care of it. Kinda got busy with a new job and an edition to the family and forgot about it. Then I get a bill from the plumbing company for $284 and now I may get sent to collections.. I am not someone who complains nor do I write these types of reviews - ever. This company is a rip-off!!!! The run around that you get every time you call is ridiculous! They promise and do not follow-through. If you want to provide home warranty DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! We had a pool pump go bad. We had extended warranty on our policy paid for by our realtor. When we called about the claim we were told we didn't have the rider. I was looking at it but argued with the person on the phone to no avail. Considering I had to wait 32 minutes to get to speak to someone. We paid for the repair ourselves! Then we had an air conditioner die in July in Florida! A repair person was sent within a week (still too long for July). The warranty company had to order the part and it would take up to 4 weeks. Six weeks later when we finally talked to someone at the warranty company they had not acted on the claim. They are quick to get your money but no follow-through. We then asked for the $100 dollars back that we paid the repair company and we would get it fixed ourselves. We were told it would take 2-3 weeks to get our check. It's been 6 and we have heard nothing:( This warranty company exemplifies every fear of being ripped off that warrant companies project. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! ..View less

It has been 2.5 months since I submitted a claim for my washer, and we seem no closer to being able to do laundry in our house than we were back then. 2-10 seems to have decided to do nothing at this point and wait to see if I'll just give up. A service technician came out the week after I submitted my claim to diagnose. Since he had to order a part, the repair was scheduled for the following week. The repair didn't work, so another part was ordered and repair date scheduled. This went on for several weeks until the repair company gave up. They informed us that the washer should just be replaced and that they would inform 2-10. After we didn't hear from 2-10, my wife called 2-10 to inquire. 2-10 said it had not received documentation from the repair company. My wife called the repair company again, who said they had, indeed, submitted the appropriate paperwork. My wife called 2-10 again, and they said they didn't have the paperwork. I called 2-10 several times, and I've now spent several hours on hold over the course of multiple phone calls. One time I was close to getting resolution, or so I thought. The 2-10 representative told me we were approved for an offer to replace the washer, but she needed to send me to Purchasing. I waited 45 minutes on hold with Purchasing until their workday was ended. I have tried to get back through several times, with no luck. I simply sit on hold. We've been doing our laundry at relatives' homes and laundromats for nearly 3 months. I'm about to replace the washer on my own and file a claim in small claims court. I'm not sure anything else will get the attention of 2-10. The customer service people I have spoken to are very friendly. So they get an extra star for that. I've had issues in the past with the amount of time it takes to get things repaired under this warranty, as it seems all of 2-10's contractors place these claims at the very bottom of their priority list. But I'm an 8-year customer because things have always eventually been taken care of, and I believe the delay issue is common with home warranties. It's time I research other companies to see if it's just a 2-10 problem. ..View less

DO NOT BUY FROM 2-10!!! TOAL RIP OFF!! Worst experience for the second time with 2-10. HVAC went out on a Tuesday, in Florida, mind you, so it's hot. Entered my info online and recieved a confirmation. After not hearing from a repair company for 18 hours, I called them only to find out they do not accept 2-10 anymore and rejected the repair request. How were we to know? 2-10 never contacted us. When I called 2-10 I spoke with a rep who told me how to engage an outside provider to fix HVAC, but when he was on property, 24 hours later, I was told by 2-10 that it could not be approved because I was given bad information. After some harsh words a very nice rep put me through to claims and my repair was approved, but get this- Freon ranges in the US between $80-120 per lb. We were charged $65 per lb. ( good price) but 2-10 only allows $12 per lb.! So far it has cost us $2000 over and above our 2-10 investment of $1782 for 3 years with premium up charges. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! ..View less

This is unbelievably bad service for something that is covered under my plan, that I pay money to this company for. ..View less

So I bought my home in August of 2019, and had issues pretty quickly. Started with ac, which led at one point to me living in my home with no air conditioning for over a month while they waited for approval and replacement paperwork. Still, I renewed my warranty with them, opting for the same package I had last year. The first call I made for this year was because both of my bathroom faucets are leaking, and my kitchen faucet something fell out and it was spraying like crazy. Guys come out, fix my kitchen sink easy, tell me that my house doesn't have a water pressure regulator (new home owner I didn't even know that was a thing), which is likely the cause of all of this and that they'll put in a work order for what needs to happen. 2-10 calls me this morning, and tells me that instead of my normal 75 dollar service charge, I now have to pay 75 dollars per "system". And they would only cover the kitchen sink, nothing else because it was caused by faulty water pressure. I asked the lady why I was being charged 3 service charges, and she said because it was 3 separate systems. I am so mad right now that I can barely type. I said no ma'am, I renewed the same warranty, 75 dollars per contractor but this was a plumber, so the service charge is for them to cover their area (system definition to me being plumbing, electrical, a/c etc). She very cheerily explained that not only was I going to have to pay an additional 150 in service charges, but the only faucet covered was going to be the kitchen faucet (cheapest and easiest fix according to awesome plumbers). I almost lost my temper enough to cuss, and now understand why people have mixed opinions on home warranties. I will be lodging complaints, and I will do everything in my power to get as much of my money back from this as possible. This is fraud, and how they can do this without feeling bad about it is beyond me. Knowing what I know now, I'd say instead of home warranties, set up your own plumber, electrician, AC guy. Most of them have maintenance plans where you can pay less by having them monitor things. 2-10 is shady, if you go with a home warranty don't let it be them. ..View less

After submitting a service request on our combination oven / induction cooktop, three weeks went by with no contact from 2-10. When I checked the web site for the status of the request, I saw that it was marked as "Cancelled". I phoned 2-10, and after about 45 minutes on hold, finally got to someone who eventually determined that they had given the service contractor who was supposed to contact us the incorrect phone number for us. When the contractor was unsuccessful in contacting us, 2-10 just cancelled our service request. So the request got reinstated during this phone call, and a few days later, a technician came out. He determined what the problem was and submitted an order for parts while still in our house. He was supposed to return 7 days later to do the repair, but someone the parts order got stalled in the 2-10 bureaucracy, and he called back to say he couldn't come out to do the repair until 2-10 cleared the order. Three weeks later and we still have no oven. Today when I went to the web site to check the service request, I found it marked this time as "Completed"! Six weeks and we still have nothing to cook on or in! I'm writing this review while on another long hold on a phone call to 2-10's customer support department. NOT a good experience! ..View less

I submitted a request for repair on my washing machine on 9/8/20. A contractor came out within two days and diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. They came back on 9/17/20 and replaced the thermistor but the error code continued. They submitted order for the next part they needed to 2-10. I called purchasing a few days later and they had not received it. I called the contractor and they said they had submitted it but would do it again. I called 2-10 purchasing a couple of days later and they once again said they didn't receive it. I called the contractor back and they said they had submitted it and would submit it again. They finally got the part and came back and replaced the control panel on 10/6/20. It still had the error so they needed to replace the heating element. However, they were not able to figure out how to do this, so a new contractor was assigned. After 3 business days I was informed by the contractor that they do not service my area, so I was assigned a new contractor. This one was not responsive, so I was assigned yet another contractor. He came out on 10/15/20 and determined that we needed a heating element. I contacted this contractor again on 10/20 and he said he was unable to find the part. I called 2-10 again to find out next steps and they said they would get the part number and try and locate it and call me back. After not hearing from them I called again on 10/22 and was told they never got the part number from the contractor. I contacted the contractor and he declined to further work on the washer and I was assigned a 5th contractor. They are coming out today (10/22) to diagnose the issue (again) and I am no closer to getting my washer fixed now than I was on 9/8. Keep in mind as well that every time I have to call purchasing I am on hold for at least an hour. And we are in a pandemic and I don't even have friends over and I have multiple contractors in and out of my house and I have to do my laundry in a public laundromat for almost 2 months. This situation has been handled poorly by the contractors and the warranty company. The warranty company is not looking out for the customer when a situation reaches this level. I am also not given any idea of how long they would let this play out. I paid over $1100 for this warranty. No repair should ever be this complicated or drag out this long. At some point you put the customer first and replace the appliance. ..View less
