When found the the dishwasher still wasn’t working a second call to fidelity was made and the same technician came out (at this point we are now being billed a second time for work that wasn’t conducted properly the first time) who stated he couldn’t fix it, and then took pictures of the unit (highly rude as well). My wife found the broke. Piece at the bottom of the dishwasher and showed it to the tech who still states he can’t figure out how to fix it. My wife threw away the part and now our claim is being denied (on top of the second service call fee) ..View less

He didn't do anything about it and left. I called Fedelity many times for more than a week, and this Monday they told me that they denied the claim due to preexisting condition of the AC. I am very disappointed in Fedelity. They didn't have any problem taking almost $700 from me for the yearly fee. We will cancel them after our contract is over this year. ..View less

Now this time they will not call me back even with the call center sending them emails. To see if the maintenance is covered under warranty. They had to get approval for the test. Test took a week to run. Now day 6 after the test and diagnosis, no response. I was told today they had 24-48 hours to respond. They can't transfer you to anyone to even get your point across. I have two small children and two dogs. It's 100 degrees in the desert. How do you treat people like this and claim it is ok. If you do a test, you should know if the diagnosis will be covered. Now if it is approved I need to wait for parts, which I was told would be 3-5 days. We are going into Thursday with no answer, which means thru the weekend no air. You don't treat people this way. ..View less

I paid $65 for an appliance company (who was extremely rude as well) to tell me my refrigerator is old and that because there is "nothing" to repair, it is not covered by the warranty plan. I called Fidelity and told them the repairman didn't even pull out the refrigerator to look at the motor or coils and simply said that it runs continuously, freezes the items in the bottom, and has moisture on the front dripping off, because it is "old". Fidelity said I could pay for a 2nd opinion and that they would review again, and possible send out another company (so 3 people and a lot of unnecessary delays) but unless it doesn't run at all I am out of luck. I would have rather the seller gave me the money they spent on this useless warranty plan and I could have bought a new one which is what I have to do now. If I could have given them zero or negative stars I would have. ..View less

They acted in bad faith, and provided an explanation to try to alleviate them of any responsibility, even though their contract stated otherwise. When the unit failed they also refused to repair it, even though it was likely due their negligence of not addressing the initial issues. They also misrepresent their services; e.g., they claim they have 24 hour emergency service for HVAC failures, only to find out from a representative 'they don't do that anymore because their contractors are overloaded.' Is is unfortunate a company like this, with a customer feedback of 1.8/5, is still in business. ..View less

I Have had a Fidelity Home Warranty contract for 22 years. I requested service for my garage door opener as the spring broke. The service man came promptly but said the rollup door was damaged and he could not replace the spring; the entire door had to be replaced. I called fidelity, the door itself is not covered and my $75 service fee is not refunded. What kind of warranty company does this?

How can you diagnose an AC problem standing 5 feet away from the unit and never actually looking at it, the thermostat or other parts? Amber (the only supervisor) in authorization- was so incredibly rude, she literally yelled at me, was even more hostile than a hungry badger. She was VERY unhappy when I told her that the call was being recorded and became even more hostile. She interrupted by screaming at me asking "if she could finish" when I was trying to ask a question about what she had just said. TERRIBLE company, completely fraudulent, gives you the runaround and hung up saying I was "threatening her" when I simply informed her that my one star BBB review would be the 250th complaint! So now I am without AC because they "assessed" my unit as a maintenance problem from 5 feet away and then REFUSED to send out a 2nd technician. RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! GET AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY AND DON'T RELY ON THE BBB A+ rating. It is COMPLETELY FALSE! ..View less

They won’t post negative posts apparently. This company is nothing but a fraud/scam. I purchased a home warranty from Fidelity in March. I have tried to use it for two issues. The first is a plumbing issue. The company they sent out refused to do anything and gave the reason for the problem as something that wouldn’t be covered by the warranty. I paid an independent plumbing company to come out and what Fidelity’s contractor said was the issue CANNOT be the problem. Period. The second issue was for the AC not cooling. The first contractor they sent out was beyond rude and unprofessional. All he did was berate me about the unit being filthy (I had lived in the house about 4-6 weeks and the home inspector commented the month prior how clean the unit was) and that the problem was that “mud is pouring into the condensing unit”. His behavior towards me became so bad that I told him to leave my home immediately. I again called an independent company and paid them to assess the problem, which was a leaking coil and almost no Freon as a result. Fidelity did agree to send another company out for a second opinion. They confirmed the leak. I was told by Fidelity that they would only cover the cost of a replacement coil, even though the condensing unit would have to be replaced because it would never be compatible with a new coil. They refused to cover that because they said that the condensing unit was working perfectly fine. At this point, I just want to be done with Fidelity. I was told I could take a “cash in lieu” for the coil of $751. I had to leave a voice mail to confirm that’s what I wanted to do on May 15 at 12:05pm EST with Patricia at extension 7288 (I think). I called today to check in the status of that because I haven’t received anything and get told that I never told them what I wanted to do and no payment was sent. Then, the same person calls back and says there was an error in calculating and they will be sending me $1,083.03 (that was a pleasant surprise!). Only to get a call one minute later from that same person saying ANOTHER error had been made and the payment would be less than $600. I am so over their lies!!! Then, I log into my account on their site and see this on the service call from the second HVAC company: Issue #1 Request Trade: Air Conditioning Service Item(s): A/C Evap Coil Location Problem Description Reported Problem: EVAP COIL IS LEAKING Issue #2 Request Trade: Air Conditioning Service Item(s): A/C Condensing Unit Location: ground Problem Description Reported Problem: condenser fan motor is bad Soooooo....they also lied about nothing being wrong with the condensing unit and that’s why they refused to cover its replacement. They do nothing but lie. They can’t even keep their own stories straight. Since March, with the warranty purchase, the service fees, the independent companies and a new AC unit, I have been out $4,440. 95. Fidelity hasn’t paid one penny to cover anything!!!! And I still have the plumbing problem. I just can’t afford another service call and repair after everything I have paid this scamming “company”. Do NOT buy anything from them. It’s been the worst experience ever! ..View less

I paid for the actual manufacturer to diagnose it and they were able to determine the problem in one visit. Fidelity won't make the repairs though!! They want to send their technicians- the same ones who weren't able to figure it out in the first place!!Fidelity sends the most inept and corrupt people who lie on their reports and Fidelity tries to do everything not to take care of the problem. They blame things on being an "Intermittent problem" but they actually use it as an excuse. The two companies that came multiple times each claimed they couldn't find out why the washer wasn't working so they reported it as "no failure found" so Fidelity said they have to believe the technicians and I am still wringing out clothes in my sink because it is not spinning properly!! One of the technicians actually out his ear to the washer and said "it sounds like it is draining fine." Another tech put his hand on the washer and said "the spinning seems fine "while it was making tons of noise and not balanced!!!They don't have any continuity of customer service so it is an impersonal and obnoxious experience nearly every time I call. I can't wait for my contract to end. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I did not know businesses could operate like this and still be in business. ..View less

I would never recommend Fidelity National Home Warranty to anyone I know. I tried calling in April 2019 to get my water heater fixed however they didn't call me back. In May I needed to call multiple times, sometimes as many as 3-4 times in one day just to get my issue moving forward. I spoke with Michelle who was very rude and condescending when I was trying to get my issue resolved. I finally got my water heater replaced, but it was a nightmare getting to that point because I had to deal with FNHW. FNHW does not fix issues that are a result of their own negligence. Instead they defer you to your home insurance. Why have a home warranty if they just tell you to go through your home insurance? Their authorization department required me to approve my non-covered charges 5-6 times, even asked me again after the water heater was replaced. I have water damage in my home as a result of their negligence that needs to be fixed. I have learned that I can not rely on FNHW for any issues. Whoever purchased this home warranty for me as I was buying my home made a terrible mistake. ..View less
