To start, I am a property manager and have AFC coverage on 16 properties after careful review and comparing them to other policies. I have become very versed with this company and their "product" and am speaking from actual experience with sales, claims, and management teams. This "warranty" company (AFC) is beyond inconsistent with their claims, coverage, customer service, and their staff are trained experts at denying coverage. HVAC Systems? Only expect them to maybe provide replacement cost - NOT INSTALLATION costs. You also have to purchase a HVAC service contract to prove the system is in good working order before they will provide any coverage even after your waiting period (waiting period is verbally expressed as 60 days/website and policies state 30 days). If it is Wintertime and you can not test the functionality of an AC system, even if under warranty, and you have a service contract with your HVAC system and the AC goes out. Do NOT expect warranty coverage or support. Appliances? If the repair exceeds the depreciation value of the appliance they deny coverage and provide the replacement cost "in lieu" of the repair. Once you pay the policy deductible, and put up with their coverage denial experts you end up paying for the repair essentially with out of pocket money. Have your refridgerator covered? Make sure you purchase the extra ice maker protection. Or you could file a claim, pay the deductible, and then find that AFC denies coverage using their multitude of excuses, gaps in coverage. This "warranty" coverage is not worth the paper it is printed on. I would avoid their product at all costs. BUYER/CONSUMER BEWARE! ..View less

When filing a claim I was unable to provide them with the exact date these issue started only the date I first noticed them. We used it once for our furnace and were told this new issue we were having was a “pre-existing condition” therefore they wouldn’t help pay for any of the issues. We had a good bill of health from the home inspector and we didn’t notice this issue for 6+ months. How could it be pre-existing? Couple months later we had to replace our water heater because it wasn’t heating anymore and had started to leak. Once again they had an exception on covering the tank of the water heater. Again no assistance in helping what we thought this home warranty was suppose to help with. Bait and switch tactics. Show you everything it covers on the website, they take your money and then mail you the paperwork with all the fine print outlining all the exclusions. BUYER BEWARE. ..View less

They are a complete scam! DO NOT BUY HOME INSURANCE HERE. They falsely advertise and will not cover you if something goes wrong with your house, even if they say it's covered.

Compared to other providers, AFC had the same offer but at a slightly better price. The warranty I had with AFC Home Club was the most reasonable way to go for what they had to offer. My first experience with them was great. The only thing that I question was I had two issues with plumbing at the same time. One was the toilet and one was the issue with the sink. So, I picked one and then their people contacted me and said that they were selecting one and I’m like, “Wait a minute, no.” I didn’t get that idea. I’d already contacted somebody. The technician that came out was absolutely terrific. He contacted the home people, he got his money right away, which was fantastic to know that the person doing the work isn’t held up for payments for months and/or anything like that. Also, I got like three calls the same day double-checking that he did the work and he was good. I talked to them while he was here and it was just kind of like a little bit of overkill. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We purchased our home in July. The HVAC went out in April and they refused to pay anything. Once we spoke with a manager she offered $250. We paid over $12,000.

I am a home owner and I purchased AFC. Read the contract. Know there is a 75$ fee to cancel for a reason. They will not pay for anything they deem old, and so many other points they have to disqualify your item, I can't possibly list under 1000 characters. I contacted AFC and the customer service was excellent. They informed me of what I needed to do to get my disposal replaced and once repairs were completed how to get reimbursed. The blower motor went out on one of my HVAC units. I used my own HVAC company and AFC reimbursed me. It's great I can select my contractor. One I know will be on time and do the job correctly. Quite a few years back I had one of the other warranty companies and you never knew who they were sending. On top of that the work was terrible most of the time. Thanks AFC.

I’m a member since last year. I’ve called 3 times for assistance. Twice I utilized the technician suggested by AFC. Both occasions were fine. Issues corrected and timely arrival at the agreed price. Another occasion I called a tech in my area and paid for the covered service. I received a check covering the $258 minus the $60 fee in less than 15 days. I was pleased.

On phone for maybe 20 minutes with AFC coordinating approval of the estimate after the diagnostic was completed. AFC covered 71% of the repairs, which I was pleased with. There were several options at reasonable prices to meet my needs. The only thing they did not (but others don't either) cover are boilers for radiate heat only central air. I experienced the BEST SERVICE! My husband and I are new homeowners and had an issue with some plumbing. We were able to call the service department and was helped right away! It was such an easy process, and they sent out a technician the very next day in less than 24 hours! We are very impressed with AFC and am happy we made the right choice of being a member!

We have two properties and use one as a rental. We had another company in the past and when we asked them to help with a replacement of an HVAC system, which was part of the coverage, they declined. Someone I worked with recommended America’s First Choice Home Club and my interactions with their reps have been very good. I’d recommend them.

We have a used mobile home and decided to get a warranty for it. A warranty is very valuable as it's the way to go if you can’t come out of pocket with everything that could go wrong with the property. We went with AFC Home Club and their reps were very helpful when we dealt with them. Their level of professionalism was excellent. I would recommend them.

AFC refused to fix my dryer. They said since it was 8 years old the depreciated it out. They said once I buy a new dryer they can give me $150. Minus the $60 deductible. AFC IS A WAISTE OF TIME AND MONEY! THERE ARE MUCH BETTER HOME WARRENTY COMPANIES OUT THERE!
