Review: I would like for AHS to allow for free yearly maintenance. I know other companies that have this. Saves them money by paying for yearly maintenance and the units not breaking down as much. I wish they had after hour service or weekend service. I don\'t get home from work until 5pm and if something is broke I am out of luck until the next business day, very frustrating when it is an air conditioner and I live in Texas.

Review: American home sheild was good to us. There was a couple of times we needed the service repair to back out and fix the problem that wasn\'t originally fixed and AHS made that a bit difficult. And after 5 years of service they decided to drop us as a client.

Review: I was promptly contacted by contractor to set up home repair appointment, contractor arrived well within the time window and did an excellent job of fixing the problem. Contractor did not leave a mess and asked if there was anything else we needed (have three a/c units), one had gone out the previous month and was in need of coolant when repaired, the second unit that went out also needed coolant so we figured the third unit would also need coolant, instead of doing a third visit, contractor checked the third unit and sure enough, it needed coolant so he took care of it. He made sure I had already changed all of the filters before he would add any coolant to either unit. Very nice contractor.

Review: Recently I had the experience of having my double-oven quit working. I notified AMS and a technician came to the home and investigated the problem. There was an attempt to locate parts, but due to age of oven, no parts were available. After an investigation, I was notified that AHS would replace the oven and chose one. I asked if there was another option since their choice would not compliment my other appliances. They agreed and I was able to pick out an alternative that was accepted and It was ordered, delivered and installed. I am very happy with the experience.

Review: We have had a bumpy ride with American Home Shield. In the last several years we have had 12+ different companies sent to our home, via AHS, to work on our air conditioner. None have FIXED the problems...they only patch. We have spent hours fighting with AHS to send a reliable company to replace the parts and ultimately FIX our AC unit. Turns out we received a letter in the mail yesterday telling us that AHS is no longer willing to cover us. Good riddance. Please do not put yourself through the ringer with AHS. Choose a reputable company with better Customer Service (even if it costs you a little more).

Review: I was very upset with the way AHS handled the repair of my air conditioner. First of all it took 5 days to come out to repair. Secondly, after the repair another problem came up immediately. AHS did not fix the problem and hung up on my broker who was trying to help me. The repairmen were not honest and said they needed to cut a hole in the wall. I had to hire someone else to fix my problem and they fixed it in 10 minutes with no hole cut out of my wall. By the way, AHS said they were not responsible for repairing the hole. Wow. Good bye AHS.

Review: My well went out and I already went ahead and had a few estimates done to fix it. I got a low quote from a highly recommended company in my area for about three grand which was about a thousand less than anyone else. The guy with the low estimate made adjustments to the system so it would at least cycle more often so the 2000 gallon tank would stay full. I called American Home Shield and told them I had estimates done. They insisted on calling someone else and having them look at it. Their guy called me and he was very rude to me on the phone. I looked him up on the Google machine to find that he had horrible reviews for shady practices. Long story short, the guy came out to "look" at the well and now it doesn't work at all. Doesn't even power up and I don't know what he did. He called and left a message to call him back which I did and it went to voice mail. I was never able to talk to him again. Now I am supposed to pay this 60 dollar deductible??? I won't be using this warranty again and I will be sharing my story as well. A Complete waste of money. You are better paying out of pocket for repairs.

Review: I gave a 1 star for customer service because it takes too long to speak with a customer service rep. I have had to hold as long as over an hour. That to me is very poor customer service. When I do get someone, they are courteous except 1 time, I asked to speak to a supervisor and the person that came to the phone said she was a supervisor but was not helpful and was rude and hung up in my face. I am considering looking for another warranty program. The 1st time I had problem with my microwave it took 4 weeks because the tech from GE didn\'t know what the hell he was doing. This last time, the tech was profession and knowledgeable but it too way to long to repair my microwave. It was during the christmas holidays and I had to go without the convenience of my microwave which also doubles as a convection oven for me. Perhaps more staff would solve the wait time for people calling in. I called in today to take care of an issue with my bill and spoke with Rachel, who was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. She took care of the problem immediately. Thanks Rachel for your kindness and concern for the customer.

Review: Horrible service. Took over a week to get my AC working in Summer 2012. My exterior outlets were not working, simple electrical service call. Got the run around until they told me they would not cover anything outside of the home! The outlets run right through the same walls as all the other electrical!! POOOR customer service! Poor service! We need a good company to come around and put these lamers out of business!! I will not be renewing next year, AND they increased both the price and service fee! They even said they dont have the best price!?! Not a good price, no good service, what the heck do you have!?

So bad, that we will be looking for a different Home warranty on our next home. We have American Home Shield for Over Five years of our time, no more!! Review: Run away from this Company. research and read all the review before you join them. THIS IS SCAM. They trick you and won't repair anything. This is the worst Home Warranty company. Do you self a favor, keep the money in your pocket. I made a mistake joined them and found out THIS IS SCAM after first service call. They make it so hard for you to open a service request. I tried to open a ticket online with no success. Called in and machine answer would not be able to locate my acct. Waited 45min to talked to an associate and they are all so mean like they have never have sex before, like something stuck in their system that they have to be so cruel. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
