    Review: I have had a contract with Old Republic since I bought my home two years ago. In that time I have had my gas range crap out on me and most recently my gas water heater. Both times, technicians came to my home in a reasonable time frame and the necessary repairs/replacements were made. Both times I have had to have needed their services I had an overall pleasant experience. My only complaint was when we had our gas range go out on us, they told us they could replace it with a similar model or they could cut us a check for the amount that they could purchase the equipment for. We chose the latter, but the price that they can allegedly buy the appliance for was far less than what it cost us. We went this route because we wanted to upgrade our range to a nicer model, so we knew we would be paying a little out of our own pocket. Upon doing some comparison shopping we discovered that even if we went with the model that they would have installed, it cost us more than the amount they would pay out to us. Still, I plan on renewing with them when the time comes.

    Review: I have had AHS for three years now and have never had a good experience with them. I have only had to call them three times in the three years that I have had it and every time it has been a huge hassle and the people have been rude. I was even hung up on once when I asked to speak to a supervisor. They take FOREVER to even answer your call then take as much time as they like putting in your request, even if it is an emergency! They give two hours time before you can even call back and get a update on your request. On top of all this I have always had a very hard time understanding the service representatives as they are barely speaking English! In my opinion this company is greatly lacking in every area!!

    Review: Customer Support group were ready to assist in getting the proper service repair people. At one instance, one service cal was not going to be according to the 48 hour requirement, so as a result, I called to inform that a service rep. was not going to be available, so the customer rep. was in touch with another repair person who could be there quickly to complete the job. This was at one of the highest temperatures on record, so the people were without ac for about four days, not the 10-day period that the other service rep. was promising to be at the job site. So, the repair was done on the day the appointment was made and all worked out fine. Thank you customer service

    Review: HVAC (AC) unit not working. Came out within a reasonable timeframe. Technician was very professional and within an hour a new compressor was installed and unit was repaired and operational.

    Review: I had a call-in for a washer dryer and dishwasher repair. Serviceman came out and stated the dishwasher needed parts, dryer thermostat was not working. Took 6 months for the repairperson and AHS to work it out. We purchased another Washer and Dryer since we could not get the needed repair. The AHS representative said he would try to compensate us for the dryer, but stopped calling. The Dishwasher parts came in and were not the right ones, so another 3 months went by, until finally they brought the parts (which were wrong again) and used a plastic tie to secure them. AHS refunded our $60.00 2nd claim was for our water heater which leaked and needed repair. Was still under warranty. AHS stated they would not replace it since it was still under repair, even though they would have been re-imbursed by the warranty company. Their vendor said he would replace it, but would need to come and take out the old water heater, and bring the new one the next day for a cost of over $300.00. We cancelled the order called a local water heater company and had a new one in within 2 hours for less than the AHS cost. We are looking for another company. Again they have lost a long time customer. My husband and daugher are in the REAL ESTATE business and will not be referring them.

    Review: AHS always responds to any requests for service within 24 hours. When we moved to Nevada from Washington our new home included a Home Warranty with another company and repair items seemed to never be covered. We switched to AHS here and we are confident, when we need them, they will be there.

    Review: I had AHS Home Warranty for 8 years and I used them at least once every year. I always booked online and never had any problems with booking service. I also called a few times and my calls were answered promptly and services were booked within an acceptable time. I have no complaints with the service I received, and if I purchase another house in the future, I will use AHS as my home warranty company.

    Review: American Home shield sent a repair to my home who worked out of his car,no company truck or uniform .He came to fix the ref and did nothing,told me to empty it out and he would be back I said do not come back,called American and they said I still have to pay $75 service call that is wrong I will never again do business with American Home shield

    Review: I recently had to call for service on my refrigerator. Repair technician said it will cost approx. $700-800 to repair, and Old Republic will cover the cost. I told technician that I don't want it done I rather get a cash out because the fridge is old. Techinician kept on insisting that he want to repair it and it will be at no cost to me. After repeated requests to Technician that I prefer cash out, I felt like he wasn't happy that he wasn't going to get the repair fee, he reported to Old Republic that my appliance wasn't properly maintaince, therefore the repair is no longer cover!!! and I will not be eligible for Cash out. I tried to complain to Old Republic about this matter, and it fell on def ear. the representative wasn't very nice. not a good business practice.

    Review: This company is no good, worthless ac went out in Vegas heat, & they won't get no one put here to fix my air! Been told service order was given to 2 companies,1 whom opens at noon the hottest part of the day, & the other not open or in office till 1 p.m. sad & poor business, customer service is rude & I have been told thru contractor they no longer contract with them for business,due to their poor business! Don't recommend, & in march when my contract is up with them we'll be looking to take our business else where, disgusted!

    Review: I am very please with American Home Shield for the service and the monthly premium. I think they are reasonable. I like the fact that I did not have to wait for a long time on the phone for someone to answer my call. The person in Customer Service was very polite, helpful and efficient. Customer Service email me to confirm my request and appointment. The technician called me prior to coming to my house to let me know that he was on his way to my house. He was very efficient in letting me know what the problem was and how he was going to do to help me fix the problem. He order the part he needed to fix my washing machine. A week later he called me to schedule an appointment to return to my house to install the part the was needed in order for my washing machine to work. He was very pleasant and helpful.

    Review: Same experience as a previous reviewer. The policy of leaving you on hold forever to thwart contract cancellations is ridiculous. I waited 30 mins for a rep to come on and tell me they were xfering me to retention. Still sitting on hold as I type. 45 mins into this call. Reason for cancellation: tech came out to fix my stove. Replaced a part after about a week wait. No problem. 6 mos later same error code on oven. New tech comes out and replaces the same part. Had to pay deductible twice for same repair. Rates went up $15 a month after first repair as did the deductible. Tech said all parts come through AHS. Which likely means a lot of recycled parts etc. I wouldn't care except why am I paying twice for their faulty part. Can only imagine if it was something more important than an oven. Not impressed.

    Review: This is a wonderful service. I had three appliances go down at once! American Home Shield was there to help me. If I had not been a member of American Home Shield, I would have been in deep trouble. This is my third year with this service and it is well worth it.
