This company has closed. DO NOT contact them or give them any money. I had policy with them for at least 2 years. Called for service and told they were being sold. To who, I asked. The man refused to tell me and said I'd receive a letter. Months went by - no letter. Called and got Platinum Company. Bottom line...this company has gone bankrupt but they still have their company listed on the internet (with their 800 #) as if they are still doing business. When I called the recording said it was now Platinum Warranty. Was on hold for 10 minutes before a answering service picked up...she said they were good about returning calls. We'll see. Called them today 12/16/2011. and they said they were out of business. This company has not returned my phone calls, deducted two payments from my bank account. I have called the fraud department at my bank to try and recover the money. A total rip off company!!!

I have several owners who have there warranty with this company in the beginning they were really great and efficent, the last 3 months, you can not get a hold of any one, never get a calls back, they have been working on an HVAC for 2 months now and I continue to get the run around on when it is going to be completed. InHouse Home Warranty refused to cover Solar Hot Water Heater replacement despite an exclusion not being listed in the contract. A complaint was filed with the BBB and through arbitration the BBB determined that InHouse owed $340+ to a replacment unit. If you read the fine print they state that all items are prorated based upon life expectancy. Reasonable service time, however find a way by pro rating to weasle out of any needed replacement. In process of cancelling policy. No company is perfect as they have to make a profit, but this one rates lower than the rest. Use another company...

Lastly, before I even owned the house this company was calling me trying to schedule "routine inspection" on my A/C and they had my name from the closing documents from the house. They are very good when you want to renew your warranty and return the call very fast. When called for service no call return for 2 days after calling 5 times. Every time someone takes the message and say someone will get back to you. Very dissatisfied with the service.

I purchased the extra roof coverage. Had a leak in my roof. They tell me it's not covered. I had a service call for a broken light switch and power plug. The tech charged me two service fees, one for each. The plug and switch were in the same room. They both were electrical. He only came out once. I have always had timely service. Our issue has been with denials of coverage. We have been told that the item needing repair was "beyond the useful life" almost every time the item was an expensive one, requiring us to challenge the company. Very dissatisfied with this company. We have had this warranty for two years and will not be renewing. Claim denied on an AC repair for "lack of maintenance" when the unit was maintained exsactly as the technician advised. Slow response time, poor repair/replacement service, inflated quote on service.

I have used In House for several repairs at my home and for the most part have been pleased with their service. I would say that recently they've been a little harder to get a hold of and a little lax in returning phone calls. Overall I have been happy with their servies and have renewed for the past 3 years.

I have used them for several repairs over the last 4 years and have been pleased. I have noticed recently that their customer service has slipped, it takes longer to get a call back and they drop the ball here and there. I have been able to count on them in most situations.

tried to get my pool heater fixed for 11 months now. in house replaced just about every part on the heater and charged me $45.00 every time. now they refuse to replace the heater after trying to fix it over one year. they are vary disorganized and it takes forever to receive a return phone call. stay away

Worked well for me for 3 years on two homes. Then they denied a valid claim on an AC unit that they inspected and repaired previously. They claimed to not have the repair on record.
