This company is the worst in the warranty business. Please do not have them as your warranty. They ripped people off. I had a plumbing issue couple of weeks ago. I have already file complaints with BBB and our State AG office. ..View less

Contacted the company and they said they no longer service my area as of a couple months prior, so they would not pay for the repairs and they would refund me the balance. They said they tried to contact me but they absolutely did not, it was clear they were just taking my money and hoping I never had a claim. I filed a complaint with both my state's and NY's attorney general, but nothing happened. They only refunded me what was left of the warranty after filing the complaint. Anyone who I managed to contact on the phone from Nationwide refused to give me contact information, or even a name, for anyone in charge. Lesson learned, don't ever buy anything intangible from a company that's not already known to be reputable. ..View less

They forgot to add my pool equipment as I had in the past to my last renewal. So when I needed the coverage it wasn't there. They refused to change my policy to include my pool equipment and refused to offer me a refund. This was totally their mistake, yet they refused to take any action to correct the problem.

I signed up with statewide warranty after a family member recommended it to me and when spring came around, I had a repair tech come out and give his opinion on repair versus replacement. It ended up being more cost effective to have the system replaced and CAP didn’t fuss about the $850 they will put toward a new system. Very good experience dealing with statewide warranty and the vendor that I got to choose. No deductibles. Excellent customer service. Great company.company came out the same day ..View less

My hot water heater went out and because I could not prove to their satisfaction that I properly maintained my hot water heater it was not covered. When I asked them to clarify "properly maintain" they pointed me to vague language in the contract that also referenced "properly maintain". I feel that any company that cannot give you anything beyond a PO Box as a point of contact is probably not reputable. I would also suggest that you read the feedback on this business and then make your decision. My error was I did not do my research first. ..View less

I recently had 3 service calls within 1 month. In each instance, the breakdown occurred after 3 in the afternoon and on a Sunday. With each request I spoke with Jeffrey Kinsley and I was thrilled that I could call my own repair company out and have repairs done immediately With There preffered technician program instead of waiting for someone to show up that I did not know and not knowing when. Each of the repairs were immediately approved and I promptly received reimbursement less my deductibles. Keep it this easy and I’m keeping State Wide Warranty!! ..View less

I had the exact same experience as reported by Jane Sullivan. Going through the BBB and the whole settlement process to receive nothing other than they are no longer in business in the State of New York. Thanks Jane Sullivan, I will contact your attorney and add my compliant to the list.

This company was hard to reach when needed, but they said they had offices all over the USA. Well when we couldn't reach them, we had the New York Better Business Bureau run a check on them and after a few emails with our claim, we found out that they actually out of business. The NY BBB gave them a triple F rating I think. Don't use them.

This company should be ued for the Rip-off policy they provide. I purchased 3 rental policies from at same time. Each time a claim was filed found loop holes to not pay. Customer service is lousy, they are rude and condescending. They promised to pay part of my money back I won a complaint, but they never paid. Atty General says they only will become involved on class-action lawsuit level. Sucks

I had this problem with Nationwide last year. Where is our Attorney Generals when we file complaints against a business?? I filed with the State of New York and also Texas. I wanted my money back from Nationwide's "so called" warranty. To this day, nothing. Please, please, if you don't want to "throw your money in the wind" avoid at all cost this company.

We have already wrote the cost off as uncollectable. We sent each customer that we did work at a copy of the Invoice for their records and advised the customers to cancel their contracts, cancel payments and everything due to their illegal activities. If we could collect that would be awesome, but unfortunately scammers get away with an amazing amount of sh*t. ..View less

We repaired two air conditioners in 2007 and 2008. The customer got great service, but we never got paid for our work and materials used from National Home Protection. Why do we as consumers and service agents get riped off by these middle, when we are the end users or servicers?

After 3 calls to their contractor we were told if we called again we would be charged an additional fee for them to fix the problem. Are you kidding me? Their crappy work should leave us having to pay more to them. So we went to a high end A/C company, paid $900 more, but at least we have it working now. When it came time to renew the coverage, I got a call from Nations Home Warranty explaining the situation and why I may not renew. Rather then trying to keep a customer and make the situation right, the lady simply said, "Well, let us know what you decide." So long Nations Home Warranty. Crap company. Do not waste your time. Do your research. There are better companies with better prices and much more professional. ..View less

They gave me the run around for a couple of weeks, but since it was 90 degrees out, I ended up getting it fixed on my own. They told me they would pro rate my refund, but that never happened. I filed with New York State Attorney General and the BBB. Nothing happened with that either. After I found out the real address and owners' names and threatented to take them to court did I receive a phone call from their Claims Manager who promised to repair my garbage disposal (also took a year to get done) and to settle on my dryer for $500. They sent me the Settlement Agreement to sign and notarize which I did. After sending it to them three times and getting their typical BS run around, I still have nothing but the paper it is written on. Since that time I have found out that they are closing many of their offices because, as I also found out, they do not have a license to practice in that state. Florida being one of those states. I have recently renewed my quest against them and have found that their website no longer exists and none of the phone numbers I have are in working order. HA! I have since contacted an attorney's office that handle class action lawsuits. PLEASE contact them. They are Cuneo, Gilbert & LaDuca LLP. Go online and look them up. Give them your information. Thank you. ..View less
