They are thieves. I have been complaining about my AC for about six months they refuse to change the part that was needed and when I complained about it and complained and took it up to management they called me and canceled my contract. Mind you I have been with this company for 10 years and because I complained about them not doing their job to the upper management they canceled my contract with no explanation and left my AC not working. This company is the worst. I wonder if I can get an attorney to have them look into this. Very anger customer. ..View less

My washer broke. It took 3 days for the repairman to come. Then order parts and ship them. Then they accidentally cancelled my appointment at 5pm the night before. Unreal. Then the repairman broke a different part when he replaced the motor. Now, its Friday. No parts have been ordered. Two weeks without a washer. UGH. Terrible company. Terrible service. Dont use them!!

We've been with S.A. for 10+ years. It used to be a good company, but the last year has been awful. We are still waiting to get our ice maker repaired from December, I had 3 service calls cancelled and was promised a manager would call. No call. I was just on hold for 68 minutes and when I called back they hung up twice. Nightmare.

Service America has become the worst service provider, ever. Worse than Comcast, which is really saying something. We have had a service contract with SA for 8 years. This year, our a/c system (installed by SA in 2012) failed after our power was restored following Hurricane Irma in 9/17. The system would not cool. The thermostat read 87 degrees when power was restored and 10 hours later, it said 81 degrees. I called at 8am on Thursday, and the earliest appointment they could give me was for Saturday. I took it. The appointment "window" was 14 hours -- from 7am until 11pm (contrary to SA's "guaranteed 2-hour appointment window").Three hours later, I saw a huge pool of water in the hallway, and saw water leaking from the ceiling fixture. That's where the air handler sits, so I figured the pan had overflowed, indicating that the float switch (also installed by SA as part of the a/c replacement in 2012) was broken. I called SA back and told them it was now an emergency, could they please get someone here before Saturday? I was told that it wasn't a sufficient emergency, because all I had to do was tun off the system (in South Florida, in mid-September, when the temp is over 90 degrees). However, for a $75 fee additional (i.e., in addition to the $55 co-pay they imposed this year for each service call, and in addition to the $500 annual contract fee), they could send someone today. I said, fine, send someone, and agreed to pay the $75 in advance. 4 hours later, a SA tech arrives, and I explain what's going wrong. He tells me, "we don't do attic work in the afternoon." I said, "excuse me? That's why I asked them to send someone today. The air handler is leaking. The system can't run without the air handler. It needs to be fixed today." He told me he won't go up in the attic to work. He also told me, the float switch is considered outside the a/c system, and it will be $200 or so dollars to repair. AND, the freon leak investigation will be another $200 or so dollars to investigate. I lost it. I said, "in what alternative universe does 'the air handler is leaking water through the ceiling" NOT suggest that the air handler is in the f---ing attic? If you can't fix it today, why did they send you?" He got on the phone with his supervisor, and I got on my phone with SA "customer service". Ha! While on hold (for 6 minutes) I checked to see if the tech was waiting at the door. He was not. He was pulling his truck out of our driveway and leaving. I waiting on hold for another 10 minutes before a person came on the line, and told them the tech refused to do attic work. They would not give me a refund of either the $55 service call charge, or, the $75 charge to get someone out there that day, when they KNEW that the only reason I requested a tech THAT DAY was because the air handler was leaking. I'm done with SA. ..View less

The only thing I like about Service America are their employees who do a pretty good job. Service timeliness is awful! Please read what I just wrote them, because I doubt that they will act on it. I am finding after being with you for the past 7 years, that this year your service is worthless!! Not only have you started charging a $45 deductible, but appointment times are a week off! My AC went out last week and the only appointment you could give me (especially after purchasing 4 AC's from you last year and spending $20,000) was a full week out! I just tried to cancel my appointment tomorrow. I didn't see a place on line for cancelations. I already called a reliable service who came out the same day to fix our AC problem. It cost us more money, but it was worth it to have cool air and not wait a week. How can you give such poor service!? This is the hottest time of the year. I think Service America should be totally ashamed of the poor service you have given us! ..View less

Had service America for 10_+ years paying approx. $400 a year on a service contract that turns out to be useless!! Called for general maintenance to clean AC unit and Dryer vents and being it wasn't covered paid $300 to have tech come from service America. He didn't seem to know what he was doing but he was the expert right?! NOT! At 3am the next morning I woke up to a flood from AC unit - called Service America and they couldn't schedule someone to come for 4 days!! I have a flood and cant use the AC because your tech created a problem!!! Now I had to pay another repair man to come fix the issue they caused and now they don't want to issue me a credit and claim I now voided the contract. Worst C/S and supervisors - they claim to have satisfaction guaranteed BS!!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AND THERE SERVICE CONTRACTS ARE RIPOFF AND WASTE OF MONEY YOU CAN SAVE FOR A REAL REPAIRMAN IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!!!!! ..View less

This is the most crappy home warranty service provider. Technician doesn't show up most of the times. Better invest in other companies who atleast will show up in their 2nd or 3rd attempt. I have wasted my time and money with Service America. Such a jerk company.
