    Review: Our central air conditioning system quit cooling. I called on Sunday and the service call was immediately assigned to a local contractor and confirmation sent via email. We had had earlier problems with this contractor and AHS had to intercede to get our problem resolved . I was quite concerned when I found out that this same contractor was assigned to us again. I cannot explain how pleased I was the service contractor called Monday morning and came out to fix our problem that same morning !! I must report that our experience this time was 100% different than the prior experience with this contractor. When I got home our AC was working and our house was cool.

    Review: I felt confident that American Home Shield would service our A/C in a timely manner when the unit went out in the middle of the summer with the outside temperature reaching 90 degrees. With one phone call I had a contractor at my house the following morning. He fixed the issue & I was comfortable after that segment, why, I had cold air & didn't have to worry about my family being pushed out of the house until the problem was corrected. I feel American Home Shield stands up for there advertise product & never experienced any difficult issues with the repair.

    Review: AHS sent someone out to fix my gas stove that was about a year and a half old. Big Bills Repair company replaced all the parts on atleast 2 occasions, but the stove still was not working. AHS replaced my stove at no cost to me. I was so happy with all the effort taken on my behalf. There will never be another company as wonderful as AHS. Thank you AHS

    Review: I am very displeased with AHS. The wait time is terrible - exceeding one(1) hour. AHS has no regard for their customers personal time. In addition, when you request to cancel the contract their representatives inform you their is an administrative fee($41.50) to cancel. I personally rate AHS below average in all areas. Stay away from this company if you are looking for a home warranty.

    Review: Calling customer service is a NIGHTMARE!! The company providing the service was excellent. They even complained about how awful they are to deal with. They tried to charge me AGAIN for my deductible after I\'d already paid it. I had to tell them twice it had been paid and even had to MAIL them a copy of the cancelled check. There wasn\'t even a way to fax or email it to them. Definitely NOT someplace I would recommend. I am looking for another company now.

    Review: I requested service because my refrigerator quit working on July 15, 2017 and AHS was quick to respond to the request but was not able to find anyone in the area to come out. They then assigned Sears in Huntington, WV but they are not able to respond until August 3. That means we have to wait for 19 days and then if it needs parts ordered we will have to wait again. There should be more approved repairmen in this area. This area covers West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky so there should be somebody out there that could respond quicker.

    Review: We have been working with this company since Feb. 23,2016 to have our refrigerator fixed. Just finished talking to the person you can call to get an update on status of your repair. The company that has been working on it have said they can't do any more. I have now been told that they have been looking for another company to come work on it. Fine. The problem, they can't find another company. Asked if they don't find another company then what? or how long are they going to look...2 months...a year.... her response was until they find one. We have had mixed experiences with this company. They sent a plumber to fix a hot water heater. They wanted to replace it for $2,000 of which we were responsible for about half of that.... part of our costs were charges for them to be able to work in our city. We called another plumber, it was a switch. We have had bad luck with the plumbers that they have sent out. I now know to take the buy out and have someone you trust do the work if you find their people iffy. We lost a lot of money not using that.

    Review: I carried coverage for > 15 year with AHS. Sometimes had to battle them for coverage but overall happy to have the peace of mind that my 40 year old house was covered. Our icemaker recently sprung a leak overnight. After shutting off water source we still found small puddles so we requested service online. I inadvertently submited the claim for my refrigerator not knowing that the icemaker was separate. The repairman unclogged the drain that had frozen over after the leak but said the icemaker wasnt' covered. After talking to the rudest customer service rep I was transfered to a different dept who handles cancelations because she wouldn't transfer me to her supervisor. They informed that due to the age of my policy I wasn't covered but the new ones have it covered and they would be happy to sell that to me and it was actually cheaper! They refused to make an exception after being a loyal customer so I canceled my service - and there was a fee for early termination...TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - find a different company.

From the easiness of opening a claim to the moment the contractor completes the repair, everything has been clearly explained and there are no surprises. The contractor contacts you within 24 hours of the claim, always show up on time, complete the work and leave the premises in excellent conditions.

    Review: The contractor showed up on the date as promised. He was quick to find the problem and the malfunctioning part. However, the needed part was not in stock and had to be ordered. After the part was received by the contractor he came back out and installed the new part and the heating system is working great. We were very pleased that the heating system was repaired as it was very cold outside at the time.

    Review: customer Service has always been very courteous and friendly.The times I have had to use the AHS, the contractors were prompt in making the appts and very nice and friendly but professional. The air conditioning person who serviced our air conditioning came out on the weekend as we had a house full of family in town when the air conditioning went out. I always recommend AHS as the Home Warranty to use.

    Review: We had AHS for 15 years then our home, which was built in 1961, got too old and they dropped our coverage! Just beware that, as your house ages, they will drop the coverage. I really liked them while we had them and wish we still did have them. Now I have to search for a new company. Sometimes the repair persons were a little shaky. You can request that a person or company not come out to your house any longer.

    Review: We recently had our fan worked on which they told us it would be hard to find parts to fix it but they would see what they could do. They found the parts came out and fixed our fan which I was thrilled because I did not want to have to replace it since it is a unique fan. We also had our dryer worked on and that was very fast they fixed it right away. Thank you American Home Shield for finding quality servicing companies!!!

    Review: I am very pleased with AHS because the are prompt in getting the appropriate company contacted for my specific problem. The contractors that I have had dealings with are prompt, get the problem solved and fixed in a timely manor. I do recommend AHS to every one I know. AHS customer service personnel are great they are concerned in helping everything go smoothly and efficiently. The customer service people have to deal with a lot of stuff from customers and they always smile no mater what. So to some this up I am so glad I have AHS on my side. The only negative thing I can say is they need more companies that are willing to join them to help out us customer.

    Review: The customer service person was friendly and wanted me to know that my kitchen stove not working properly needed a quick response due to safety concerns by it being a gas range. The service tech also worked quickly to determine if it repairable. The resolution department stated it wasn't and informed me that it would replaced. They gave me a website to pick a new range from and had it installed in a very timely manner. Thanks to all

    Review: I have nothing good to say about this company. Ou air conditioning unit stopped working on one of the hottest days so far this summer. It was recharged with Freon and were applying for an additional 4 days. When the repair man came a second time to fix the unit, all he did was complain about how little he was going to be paid by AHS for this job. He stated he would not do any work on the unit over the weekend since they do not pay him overtime. He stated that he needed to order a new compressor for the unit and it would likely be a week before the unit could be repaired. When my wife called AHS to see if there was any way to get the repair sooner (we have another heat wave coming), she was told they were not going to cover the repairs. The repair man had told them that the compressor stopped working due to an electrical storm. There have been no electrical storms since he repaired it the first time, but they were adamant that they would not cover the repairs. They also refused to allow us to have a second repair man inspect the unit. It appears we will be paying out of pocket for this. We have had no electrical surges or lightening strikes at our home. I will be dropping this coverage as soon as they fix my doorbell as it was "repaired" once and still does not function. I would not recommend them to anyone. If I could give them a lower review, I would!

    Review: American home shield is awesome! No homeowner should be without coverage! I love the fact that I can put on a request for service online. It's always a fast response. The two contractors we have used in the past were clean and very curteous. I recommend to everyone to go with American Home Shield! You can't afford not to.
