    Review: I called Old Republic because my AC was blowing hot air. The first company they assigned to me didn\'t call the first day, then didn\'t show for their appointment on the second day when they were scheduled. On day three I finally got a different company to come take a look at my AC. The technician came out to inspect and told me I needed a new condenser and evaporator coil as well as modifications to the ducts for the new model of the evaporator coil. Great, under my warranty this all should be covered. The next day, nearly one week without AC, Old Republic calls me to tell me that they could order a new coil so that they wouldn\'t have to replace the condenser, against the technician that was at my house\'s suggestion. Because of this, I would have to wait another week for the coil to be ordered, would not get my compressor replaced, AND the kicker is that I am now liable for the modification fees to the ducts to the tune of$350 that previously were covered if the compressor would have been replaced. To summarize, Old Republic is giving me less than the professional recommended and making me pay out of pocket because of it, and I still don\'t have AC a week and half later. Do not spend your money with this company, they do not care about the customer as they claim.

    Review: We called AHS for a service call and within 2 hours our problem with the fridge was repaired. The service man was very knowledgeable and proficient in his job. I am glad I purchasesd a home warranty. Overall I am very satisfied with the warranty company and service received.

    Review: I agree with some of the other reviews - this company sends out the lowest rated guys who can\'t find enough work on their own to fix your stuff. Spent hours on the phone trying to get my a/c fixed and when the guy finally came out, he ended up putting too much freon in the system, and apparently tainted the system so I had to personally pay ANOTHER guy to come out to redo what he messed up. Company was adamant their guy did nothing wrong, but the service man I hired afterward confirmed he did as he fixed things. You would be much better off cutting this company out and paying for things personally yourself to start with. Will save you time, money, and frustration.

    Review: Had to send a representative multiple times to fix our dish washer and had to pay the deductible multiple times. Representatives would tell us one thing one day and change their statements the next day after no call and no shows for service.

    Review: We recently dropped American Home Shield after several years. At first, about 7 years ago, we were happy with them. Every claim was handled professionally, in a timely manner, and repairs were done well. As time went on, we discovered they weren't paying their service people well. This became evident when we waited several days for an electrician to come from a city 90 miles away (multiple electricians in our own town), had no hot water for days waiting on the one plumber in town who would work with them, and just received overall poor quality service. The phone operators became rude with us, since we had to fight for every repair - we have small children and cannot wait for a week for electricity or hot water! There were no incentives for us to renew, as in past years they have provided coupons for 1 free repair visit. There seems to be no concern from the company about the customer, or honoring their contracts which offer service within 3 days of the call.

    Review: Both of my last two experiences with AHS contractors have been excellent along with the customer support that handled the work order creation both at AHS and the contractor. Both contractors were on time, completed their work quickly, and left nothing behind. In both cases the techs explained what was wrong and then quickly resolved the problem.

    Review: I do most online so response is very quick. Calling can be an issue, wait times can get a little long. Service of items are good. I have used them for several items, range, refrigerator/freezer, HVAC. All have been handled well and repaired.

    Review: I dont NOT recommend AHS. They have gave us the run around, and will NOT abide by the contract. My husband and I have paid them over a year and never called them until now to help fix our sewage pips that is leaking in our basement, and I have two kids and my husband who is a dis able veteran breathing sewage for the past several weeks because that want to say its not covered when in the contract it clearly states they will cover up to $1,000 and they wont pay anything. So now Im coming out and letting every one know DO NOT get AHS they just take your money and wont abide by the contract, and wont pay anything. You will just have a mess on your hands and them just taking your money. I now im in action to get a lawyer.

    Review: Serviceman was very friendly, efficient and fixed the problem fast. Before he left he pointed out a few things he saw that need maintenance such as changing out the flourescent tubes before they burnt out the ballast. We were very pleased.

    Review: Everything went very smoothly and I got the service quickly. The tecnichian was nice and friendly and took care of the problem. This happened to be a plumbing blockage, but I have had appliance and HVAC repairs thru AHS and they have all been good experiences. When my AC Compressor could not be fixed AHS paid to have a brand new one installed. I was about a $2600 item and I only paid $75. Loved it . I bought AHS plans for both of my out of town daughters. I takes a lot of worry of my mind.

    Review: We've been an AHS customer since last December, and this was our first occasion to use them. I called on Sunday to report the a/c was not working. Within a couple of hours, I had a call from the repair company advising that their tech would be at the house between 8-10 on Monday morning. Color me impressed. Until 10:00 on Monday morning, when the tech called to say it would be closer to noon. At noon he called and said he was 10 minutes away. At 1:00, I called him back, and he said he got "redirected". At 1:30 he called to say that his GPS said he'd arrive at 2:13, and he got there at 2:30. Nice enough guy, but after 1 1/2 hours, he reported that the evaporator had a leak. He would have to report back to the company and see what they said. What good does that do me in 100 degree heat? I called AHS today, and they said they hadn't heard from the tech and couldn't do anything until they saw his report. Just how long is a customer supposed to wait in this heat?

    Review: I have nothing but problems since I called in to get a repair. First, every time I call they reply with saying don't call back, but you take money out of my account. Well, I have a bad air compressor go out so, I call and I have had a contractor come out 4 times. The last time was the funniest they put in the wrong size air compressor then they filled it up and burnt that one too. Well its been 3 weeks in the heat. I'm still waiting

    Review: It was great to have someone choose and vet a good plumber. Anyone who has tried to find and get a good plumber at a fair price knows the value of AHS in handling this. Plus there is the benefit that most charges will not exceed the 'trade fee'.

    Review: To anyone thinking of using this company for home protection - My advice is to avoid them and look elsewhere. It has been my experience that they look for any and every reason to deny claims. Moreover, if they do allow a claim, they have contracts with service providers that appear to be very low rated on customer service boards. In fact, when I research the companies they want to sent to do my work, I have found numerous BBB complaints and very low online reviews. I even inquired with ORHP about using my own contractor - something they make VERY difficult to do since they will only cover services at the rates they contract with these less than stellar companies. Which means you cannot be assured of quality work. I asked known high quality service providers (based on Yelp, Angie's List and other online reviews), these trusted providers unanimously state that dealing with ORHP is a major burden and generally leads to hassles and holdups with work and payments. I have been EXTREMELY unimpressed and upset EVERY time I have tries to use my ORHP plan. If you have an option - look elsewhere. Before you buy, please do some quick Google research - you will be amazed at the consistency and volume of similar complaints against Old Republic.

He was very polite and presented himself well. He made an assessment of the problem and made the necessary repairs.     Review: If I could give a 0 star I would. Old Republic is a scam. After 4 weeks, 3 visits from a repairman, countless phone calls, and $575 (warranty+deductible) they said they couldnt repair my dishwasher. They want to put a black panel on my white dishwasher. I told them that was unacceptable and they offered $225. That a joke. This is not replacement insurance, its a scam.
