    Review: Our AC kept running, and although cooling, it really wasn't cool. The technician diagnosed the problem as a bad coil, ordered the replacement part and got us back up and cooling as quickly as possible. The owner of the company even came out and helped his employee do the install as the unit was in the ceiling of the garage. That is not seen very often. A water drain issue arose and they quickly came back out and affixed the missing drain pan deflector. We recommended that AHS refer customers to this company first.

    Review: I signed up with AHS 10/01/2011 for a one year contract. I went with the company because they are listed as "a ServiceMaster Company". I had dealt with ServiceMaster in the past and was pleased, plus SM had a good reputation for responding to flood/fire/water damage calls promply. You know what they say about assuming! I assumed AHS would do the same. I had to replace my water heater this year because of a leak, and with it being a cold weekend, elected to do it myself because I knew from what I had seen online recently that we would be out of hot water for days. I just got the contract renewal papers in the mail today. It has gone up considerably, even though I have not filed a single claim with AHS since I gave them my $56.61 per month for the last year. The new contract would be $734.23 or $61.19/month with a $75 "service fee". I WILL NOT renew the contract when the first day of October rolls around. After seeing all these problem cases posted, I consider myself lucky to have only wasted one year with AHS.

    Review: I had the pleasure of working with two of the contractors, and they were both very good. They were both on time for the appointments, very neat, and friendly. Each explained what problem I was having with each system (heating and plumbing), and they explained what needed to be done in order to correct the problems. The customer service representative was extremely helpful with scheduling an appointment for me since I wasn't successful in doing so myself. She gave me an estimated time for the appointment, contractor's name, and explained that I would receive a follow-up call from the contractor, and an e-mail to confirm the appointment.

    Review: AHS stand behind the warranty. I had an air conditioning problem the first contractor only looked at the outside unit. Once the compressor was fixed the coil started leaking through my basement. I called very upset they immediately called another contractor who took care of my problem immediately and I was not charged and extra deductibles. AHS approved the additional parts and my coil was replaced. They were speedy and polite.

    Review: I recently had a leak with the plumbing in my bathroom. I called American Home Shield and they had a plumber from Grace Plumbing out to my house within the hour! The plumber knew what the problem was immediately and stopped the leak. I had some water damage to the walls, so they removed two feet of sheetrock so there would be minimal water damage. Overall I am very happy that the service was so quick and the overall experience was seamless.

    Review: I called AHS because my garbage disposal sprung a leak and I had water leaking under my sink. I had an agent from Greenway home Service at my home within 2 days and all is well. It would've been sooner but I was working late.

    Review: Gave AHS all the information on plumbing problem on a Monday. The plumber they contracted could not come out until the following Thursday. Then the plumber called on Thursday and said they couldn't come until Monday. Canceled that plumber and AHS scheduled a different plumber who also could not come out until the following Monday. AHS did NOT include the item that needed to be replaced in the service request. The plumber would not make the repair since it wasn't in the service order. AHS stated they did not know if the part was covered although it was clearly stated in the contract that the part is covered. Had to schedule another visit from the plumber who could not come until the following Friday! I spent over an hour on "hold" trying to reach AHS every time I called. AHS Customer service is terrible. I have 3 homes under AHS warranties and due for renewal in two months. Going to be shopping for a different warranty company. I rarely -- if ever -- have a claim on any of the properties but not worth the "hassle" trying to deal with the incompetence of AHS employees.

    Review: AHS has responded always in a timely manner. The repair service I would say 90% of the time are professional and know what they\'re doing. If I have a problem with a service repair or company, AHS always takes care of it! We have had this home warranty for over 12 years.

    Review: This situation has happened on the last two repair request. Request made. Appt.time made for 8am to 12pm. At 11:30 am sears calls to say no repairman available,and next repair date available is 10 days later. Two calls were received over the weekend feom sears advising us our repairman would arrive at the scheduled time. Now on hold with AHS FOR 30 minutes or longer(my call is very important to them). Our last experience was a different repair svc but similar experience. Our dishwasher was out over a month and after 3 attempts to fix we gave up and purchased a new one. AHS may have good intentions but their contractors do not.

    Review: My husband and I have had AHS for nearly 4 years and have never had to use them. When we did however the response time was very reasonable. However upon realizing we didn\'t really need the services of AHS and decided to cancel it was virtually impossible to reach anyone. I\'ve been on hold for 22 minutes and still listening to elevator music. My husband managed to get someone on the phone finally to put in our cancellation, however he was told AHS didn\'t provide cancellation confirmations. What business does this and what record does the customer have other than a confirmation of cancellation, especially when he called over the phone. Call me ridiculous but I don\'t trust this. Any company that makes it this hard to reach them can\'t be legit. Too, the only review on their site happens to be positive. Go figure! At this point I plan to contact my bank to make sure AHS doesn\'t submit another automatic draft to our account. This is not how a reputable company should do business... I\'M DONE!     Review: Fabulous experience, every single time. Website very clear and saved me time by providing the tool to get my request put in. Contractor contacted me the next day and we scheduled an appt for 1 day later! Great customer service on the phone - very friendly and helpful. Contractor showed up on time, was very thorough and explained specifically what was wrong, what needed to be done and how that would be handled. He replaced the part and left the area better than before he came! The repair resolved the issue. It was so quick and easy and painless - thank you!!

    Review: The contractor contacted us quickly and set a time to meet. He even accomodated our working hours (after 6pm)! Communicated parts needs (one had to be ordered) but was back out within 1-2 business days to complete repair. Very clean and neat, very personable.

    Review: I have been with American Home Shield for over ten years. It is truly a comfort to know that if anything breaks down it will not cost me an arm and a leg to get it fixed. A few weeks ago my Central Heat and Air went out. American Home Shield replaced the unit. This could have been a big expense, but with American Home Shield I didn't have to worry.

    Review: I was very pleased with the service company, however I was highly displeased with the service, or lack of, I received from AHS. I had to call to speak to someone about my problem and waited one hour and 16 minutes on hold, which in and of itself is ridiculous. Once I got a representative on the phone, she verified my account and my phone number. We spoke for a minute then she said she had to put me on hold to check something. I was not rude or aggressive. I was frustrated, but was in no way taking it out on the representative. While I was on hold the call got disconnected. It wasn\'t on my end because I was on a land line at work. I thought since she had my phone number she would call me back, but that never happened ... after I waited AN HOUR AND 16 MINUTES TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE!! At that point I was exasperated, but I needed to speak to someone so I called back. After waiting on hold for a second time for an hour and 28 minutes I eventually had to hang up because I needed to leave work. Ultimately I wasted two hours and 45 minutes of my life waiting on hold to speak to someone at AHS and it never really happened. I consider that highly unacceptable.

    Review: Just bought our home March 4. The Flex Plan Combo was a part of the purchase supplied by the seller. We still have not received our policy (March 25). I was told on the phone that it would arrive any day in a plain white envelope and to sort the mail carefully as it could look like junk mail? Yesterday, our garage door springs broke $422.00 - AHS said they only cover the $32 door opener. far as I am concerned, the policy is junk mail. you will be money in the bank ahead saving your cash to do your own repairs.
