Review: Wow, if I knew how easy it was to file a claim and have a matter resolved, I would have purchased a home extended warranty from Choice Home Warranty a long time ago. I filed the claim online, within an hour I received a response with an appointment time. Magnum Plumbing was out the next day, showed up early and quickly replaced my garbage disposal. Fast, easy, efficient! I will always recommend Choice Home Warranty. They get a A+++ rating!

Review: We have had very frustrating experiences trying to talk to human beings rather than a computer. We have had to have a recall visit twice, which require talking to a person. The average wait time on the phone was over 30 minutes. We were able to use the online chat option once, but the next time we tried, it was disabled. I also tried to use facebook chat (out of frustration). It took 15 minutes to get someone to respond and then they just told me to call the helpline. Finally, I called the sales line in order to talk to a human. The woman was very nice, but just put me back in the phone queue. So...after several days and many phone calls, I finally got to a human being. Once connected, they were professional and helpful and the service calls were scheduled immediately.

Review: The AHS plumber replaced the flapper, fill tube and fill valve in one of my commodes. Service was perfect. The only reason I am not giving it a full 5 stars is because it took longer than expected to schedule and the cost is the deductible, ($100).

Review: Do not buy Samsung refrigerator RF28HMEDBSR. We began having issue with it not cooling in June 2017. Call after call, tech after tech, part ordered after part ordered, and 8 months later they are flying in a tech from Dallas to fix it. It would have been cheaper for them to replace the fridge or gives us our money back. But still we wait. I’m so done with Home Depot and their horrible horrible protection plan. If my back could handle it I would load this beautiful useless piece of equipment in the back of my truck and picket in front of Home Depot. We will NEVER EVER buy another appliance there.

Review: I have used AHS for many years and always been satisfied - until recently. Wait times to speak with someone on the phone is an hour or longer. We had need for a repair to our microwave. The first tech repaired it partially and never followed up. We finally got another service call going and the new guy said the oven was unrepairable and needed to be replaced. It took over a month of not having a microwave and demanding an escalation to management before this was resolved. Not sure what\'s up with these guys, but in the past I would have given them 5+ stars. Now they get one!

Review: AHS has gone downhill. Took two months to replace my dishwasher. Little visibility of progress during the process and good luck getting help from customer service in a timely manner - one hour hold time every time I called, three days to receive reply emails, etc. Had to call the installation company four times to get them to call me back after waiting four + weeks to have the replacement dishwasher delivered (by a different company). Probably won\'t renew after this experience - imagine if it was a major repair!

Review: Once we corrected information on file with AHS regarding our home address & contact details, we had an excellent experience involving the repair of our SubZero refrigerator / freezer. The service technician from Mr. Appliance in Austin was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the problem, made a telephone call to AHS while at our house and obtained approval to order & install the defective part, and returned once the part was delivered to install it. AHS promptly followed up with me via email to confirm service was dispatched and repair completed.

Review: I contacted American Shield due to me having a leak under my sink. The man that was sent out here, came with a flashlight and checked under my sink, reset the disposal, and left. The leak occurred again, and I stood in water on a Sunday, evening in my kitchen. The second time, the plumber came out, and fixed the leak. However, he replaced my faucet with an inexpensive one which has now come apart on one side(I\'ve only had it for one month) I do not want them to service me, ever again!

Review: We had a water heater that needed to be repaired in June 2017 in our new home. We followed the process to submit the claim, pay the $125 deductible and schedule the repair. It turned out that the water heater needed to be replaced. We were instructed to pay the full replacement for the water heater and that HSC would reimburse us $325, the maximum repair payment. We never received reimbursement. We talked with 4 different agents over the last 5 months, re-emailed the claim and receipt 4 different times, and each time we were told it would be done and "it\'s with accounting". Each time we called the hold times are 10 minutes or longer just to talk to an agent. It was clear they were deploying delay tactics by telling us only one particular agent could handle this, and she would never return our call or be reachable. Our previous reimbursement for an AC repair and replacement was also delayed and required multiple follow-ups, so this is their mode of business operation. We will now report this to the BBB.

Review: I recently used my home warranty as I had an A/C issue - in the middle of the summer in Texas! I put in my service request via the AHS website, in the evening, and the next morning I received a phone call from the A/C company to get an appointment set. Fortunately, the issue was small and the repairman was able to remedy the problem within 30 minutes. It was easy dealing with AHS and the repair company. I\'m pleased with the service I\'v received!

Review: HWA is just a joke. They work with vendors who you can\'t find on yelp or google and they provide very crappy service. They fixed my refrigerator and broke within 5 days, I called HWA they say I need to start a new claim and pay $100 to start it. The problem was the vendor had misdiagnosed the issue, but HWA says if it is misdiagnosis, it has to be a new claim. I call the vendor, he says it is too far, I can\'t come to your place. I will definitely NOT renew

Review: I had originally requested a contract with a $70 buyer\'s credit when purchasing my home. Instead, I was moved up to a higher contract with unnecessary coverage and no buyer\'s credit. When I attempted to contact the company to change it, I was told that I couldn\'t change it, and would have to pay the full contract price and could contact my realtor to try to change it. However, this would not impact our current service call. The agent refused to work with me regarding correcting the contract, and I don\'t expect to use it again, so I have been forced to pay for wasted coverage and not what I requested. The actual service provider was very efficient and got the job done well.
