    Review: THEY DON'T SERVE,THEY DON'T RETURN THE PREMIUM,WHAT'S THE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN THEM AND ROBBERS? I bought two warranties from their sales person Dean Summers.After they effected two weeks,I filed a ceiling fan claim. They don't even have real person to answer the phone, they rent a calling center to take customer's messages, if it is not about a purchase, you won't hear a word from them. I kept calling,3 days later still nothing, then Dean Summers called me back, promised me the contractor will be there within 24 hours ect.I believe it only because he was afraid I will cancel. It took me 3 months to settle down my new warranties,then I mailed my cancellation in certified letter.It arrived on July 11th,I left messages again and again till I threaten them with complain.A guy named Meckel Evans said he will mail me a check of my premium,but till now,nothing. Except atorney generl and telemarkting fraud,I will write to the governor,the senator,the congressman of Delaware and anyone who I think can help me to get my money back.

    Review: We had severe pipe damage that occured, of course, on a Sunday. First thing Monday morning we placed a call to American Home Shield. We expected that we would live without water for 2-3 days. Not so. AHS contacted a plumbing service and our problem was resolved that day! Both AHS and the plumbing contractor were incredibly professional and demonstrated a high level of courtesy and care. We are so glad we have American Home Shield protection!!

    Review: requested to clean out a stoppage in a bathroom. a.h.s sent out a router service for the repair. the company they sent out [ action router] pulled the toilet and snaked out the drain, at that time i payed the service charge. the toilet stopped up again. i called American home shield to have the drain snaked out again. with in the sixty day warranty period. not only did NOT send out another service, they charged us another service charge after all complaints the original service [ ACTION ROUTER] came back out and would not do any work unless they were payed to pull the toilet.

    Review: Since this was my first experience using AHS I was impressed. I got my information very quickly. The contractor contacted me within a day or two (always the weekend when it happens). They called, came out fixed my appliance without any hesitation and left the area clean! Oh and he did it all within 45 minutes!!!

    Review: Scheduling the service was easy. Your representative was courteous and professional as was the repairman who replaced the garbage disposal. I had American Home Shield with my prior home and specifically made a point to request AHS as my home warranty company upon purchasing my current residence.

    Review: THE DO NOTHING FOR $60.00 EACH OCCURRENCE COMPANY The question - has Old Republic ever covered anything. Save your money! Called at 8 am for the fridge - it went out over night. I am still waiting for a call from the scheduled repair company to let me know if or when they will be coming just to look! Meanwhile, my food has all thawed...trash man came and went. I will have a trash can full of rotten food till next Monday. It would be kind of curteous of the repair man just to let me know if he got a call to come here. Old Republic did give me his number and I am calling him myself. I know I'll never get anywhere with this and Old Republic did say if there is a replacement fridge in my future, it would take up to 7 -10 "business" days for that to happen. I won't even go into the plumber who came to let me know my plumbing wasn't covered due to a clogged line. After paying him, I got a plumber to put the camera down the line. Lo and behold, no clog. So, there went the cocky plumber and another $60.00. I had to fix the plumbing myself. I'll just get the electrical fixed. This is somewhere bordering on fraud? Or just the very, very fine print!!! They need to add a catagory - "NO STARS- NOT EVEN A HALF OF ONE!!!"

    Review: Recently, the transmission on my washing machine broke. I was able to get a repair appointment very quickly by calling AHS and speaking to a friendly representative. The contractor who completed the repair was knowledgeable and completed the gigantic repair in an efficient manner. He was clean and did not leave a mess for me. My machine runs like new. I will continue to use AHS in the future.

    Review: The Service Tech that repaired my A/C showed sound knowledge of what he was doing and very informative at explaining what went out and the function of the part. He made a little mess while repairing the unit but when he left you couldn't tell he was ever there, probably cleaner than it was when he arrived. He was a pleasure to deal with.

    Review: My experience with AHS was much better than expected based on precious experiences. I have been an AHS customer for over 15 years with various properties. My latest experience was amazing. When I submitted the request I asked to speak to a technician first to make sure it was covered before having to pay the deductible for no reason (something I had done in the past). The company actually told me that I have a great contract and that I should read it. They also told me where in my contract to look to show that I would be covered. I was very impressed by that and did exactly what they told me. Try arrived and fixed my service issue promptly and with no hassle at all. I will never forget it and have since used my warranty again with the same result. A skeptical warranty owner has now become an enthusiastic one! Thanks for changing me into a positive person!

    Review: We were very happy with the service we received. The service man arrived promptly and called when he was on his way. He was very clean and cleaned up after himself. He was able to identify the problem right away and arrange for the part to be ordered before he left. The part arrived within the week and he returned to make the final repair.

    Review: I called AHS when our ice maker in the fridge started leaking, causing icicles to form above the ice bin. I submitted a request for service. I was thrilled that their rep dealt with this immediately; a repair person contacted me within the hour. Wow! He set up an appointment at my convenience to come to the house to check out the ice maker. It was right before the Christmas holiday. The repair person was very knowledgable, efficient and polite. He said the unit had to be replaced, and he would need to order it and call back when it came in. Once again I was totally thrilled when he called with a replacement unit within a week. The repair person was top-notch! He did the job very efficiently. We now have no problems. I was totally impressed with how AHS handled this situation from start to finish! They are wonderful!!

    Review: The response time of the AHS contractor was that afternoon and I was well pleased with all aspects of the service provided that day. Whenever I have a problem I know I can rely on the well trained customer service reps at AHS to comprehend and convey my dilemma to the AHS contractor in a timely manner.     Review: They must get a low rating because of the waiting time on the phone. The couple times I\'ve called, the recording always says 10 minutes but hold time is always more than 30 minutes. The repairs were fine which is a good review for the vendors. Service here needs attention.

    Review: American Home Shield responded to my issues very efficiently and quickly. I was notified by the vendor who would be servicing my appliance issues on the first day it was reported to AHS, and had an appointment within two days. The AHS representative who handled my call was courteous and very responsive to my concerns. The vendor who made the repair was equally efficient and timely. At one point the vendor needed to contact tha AHS representative to get approval for the repair, and he was able to do so easily and quickly. Overall, I would say the service I have received from AHS has been excellent, not only on this one occasion but every time I requested their services.

    Review: I was set up with this home warranty due with the purchase of a new home. We only needed it twice and are considering renewing because it was a helpful service for a plumbing issue as well as an appliance issue. The contractors they used (P.K. Plumbing and J&W Home Repair) were quick with setting up the appointment, on time and professional on site, answered questions, and resolved the issues. A follow up was needed for the Home Repair and J&W was prompt in setting that up and returning. AHS charged the correct deductible amount and the online process to schedule was easy. I only wish they had some type of roof coverage as some of the other home warranty companies do. This would be the only reason we would transfer companies.
