Established in 2018, Achosa Home Warranty is a relatively new home warranty provider for homeowners, real estate buyers, and sellers. This detailed Achosa Home Warranty review will help you understand the provided coverage, plans, pricing, and more.

Our Verdict: Achosa Home Warranty offers comprehensive plans to the homeowners and also provides them the freedom to choose their repair technicians which is rare in the industry. But, the company doesn’t offer its services to all the states in USA and may take upto 48 hours to respond to claims.

Pros

  • Freedom to choose your own service technician
  • Provides services even on the weekend
  • Roof leak repair covered

Cons

  • Higher plan cost
  • Doesn’t cover all U.S. states
  • Doesn’t offer repair guarantees provided by chosen service technician

Achosa Home Warranty Plans

Achosa Home Warranty provides two basic plan options to homeowners and home buyers: Advantage and Advantage Plus. Both plans cover the same major home appliances and systems, however, there’s a $500 difference in the annual payout caps on the water heater and HVAC coverage

Home sellers can take advantage of the free six months coverage for their home while the property stays listed in the market. But, they are only offered the Advantage plan. The only difference here is that the sellers will have to pay $50 more as compared to the homeowners. Along with that, the payout limits are also a bit lower.

Reading the company’s online policy brochure shows that a specialty basic level plan (Homeowner’s Core Plan) is provided to the residents of Idaho.

Achosa Home Warranty offers expensive plans as compared to other service providers. The Advantage Plan is $57.99/ month and $575 per year and the Advantage Plus Plan costs $72.99/ month and $725 per month. The standard service fee of both the offered plans is $100.

Achosa Home Warranty Exclusions

Like all home warranty companies, Achosa only covers the costs for the major home system and appliance failure because of normal wear and tear. They don’t cover the damage because of natural disasters, poor routine maintenance, improper installation, or remediation of mold, or fungus.

You should also know that every part and component of your items is not covered under your plan. It offers a $25,000 annual payout cap for all of its plans. If you want in-depth plan coverage and exclusions, you should refer to the company’s brochure. Reading the fine print will help you know what’s covered and what’s not covered under the company’s plans.
